Im not sure about stud 17/18 year old...that would be a player like Hynes/Couturier/Bounrival etc Plus if a team has a stud 18 year old, they are likely playing 1st line or top pairing d... I think it would take a 1st rd pick plus a good prospect...likely a 16 year old...or BAT could keep Champion and risk losing him to pro, or have him back as a 20...in other words they shouldnt be in a rush to deal him as I cant see him going pro, but its still a possibility. Champion would definitely fetch higher than Joly last year as he has still 1 1/2 years to go in the Q.... We got Tremblay plus 2 second round picks for Joly last season... What I mean by a stud is someone like Lessard we got from Drummond plus a first.... Depends on the market... last year Joly was pretty much the highest end twenty year old scorer available..... aside from Petit who never moved.. presumably because the asking price was too high... this year Champion will not be the highest profile goaltender available I doubt very strongly Champion would fetch more than Joly did on this years trade market.. unless things get real crazy (a possibility) Rouyn will have to add quite a few pieces to enter the true contender status... and those pieces will not be cheap....if they have already got deals lined up for Vormier and caron that certainly puts them closer.. but their best assets will be used in that deal no question about it... meaning they would have to go cheap for a goaltending upgrade or completely gut the future.... not a wise move IMO

First because they are not forced to move him, they can wait until the draft or keep him to mentor Steeves and move Nadeau at the draft if they feel they are not getting their price. Second, he is pretty much a lock to play at 20 while Joly was only a 3-4 month rental.

As a fan of the Sea Dogs and seeing how good our team is this year if CB does sell I would love to see us land Adam for say Kirky at the draft, prospect, and picks. As fans of CB, if your team does sell what would you see as a good return for Adam. I know the other teams will load up but I think with Adam if would put our offence over the top!! We still prob need a solid stay at home D man too.
