Defensive clinic tonight. Thats an understatement. Halifax scores seconds in and now both starting goalies gone. .8 and .72 sp. Our defense has definately been exposed by speed tonight.

Pretty boring game all together.
Halifax came out strong in the third, setting the momentum with a goals 8 seconds. They looked like the better team in the third, and the play was primarily in the Rocket's zone.
Grondin I don't think played too bad, better than Mosher.

Um Grondin played like crap.He is simply overmatched in this league. 7 goals on 25 shots. Stoddard is useless, his linemates not much better 55 was horrible First line, 26 and Lemieux played well. Does Clarke always play lke this? Looking to cause sh#t all night, was a lot of fun watching it. Pelletier acted like he was shot everytime he got checked, he'd be a star in a no hitting league. Way too many passengers, the guys really putting an effort in out there must be getting ticked at the rest of them. Not playing Costello at home was a bush league move. If you want him at his best, then play him fired up, instead Stoddard gets his chance to waste a bunch of icetime. Andrews scored a flukey goal, other than that had a quiet night. Russell has his hands full, veterans doing nothing, 2 lines going, 2 lines doing squat. the 2 B's Pelletier and Stoddard really have to go, and 55 on D just doesn't belong in the league

Andrews scored a flukey goal, other than that had a quiet night. his 2nd of the season.......and 6th pt I think. Were/are fans expecting more from him....even though he's only 16? Missed the game tonight....so never got to see him.

Andrews stayed on the perimeter all night. Did not compete very hard, but then he wasn't the only one

Andrews is doing fine. Why people come on and bash a 16 yr old rookie who has played hard all year is beyond me, but to each their own.
Not sure how you could even critizise him tonight with they way our defense played. Grondin could have been better, but most goals he had little to know chance on. PEI is skilled, and they had WAY to much space tonight.

Missed the game tonight....so never got to see him. Maybe a bit more but he is 16 and is part of what's emerging to be a very impressive young line playing with 17 year olds Lemieux and Gelinas. His play in general has been great... he's a good skater and probably top 5-6 in shots and hits among the forwards... but it just took a while for him to find the scoresheet and I think most of his points have been in the last 10 games. Andrews may or may not be producing to where some expected but I know Lemiuex and Gelinas are putting up numbers I didn't expect.

Costello was in the warmup but announced as a scratch and didn't play, he may have been injured and wanted to see how he felt through warmup?

Nope Costello is fine. he didn't look too happy sitting in the stands afterwards. It's not a blind critique of Andrews. If you want me to say he played fine for a 16 year old, fine, but I'm not the type to coddle. At this level you need to compete every shift or get eaten alive. How Stoddard and Pelletier are still on this team is the real mystery to me. If it was up to me, I'd add to the youth, get rid of the deadweight and let the guys grow up together. You've got a few on the team already and a few just itching to make the show. Accelerate the learning curve so they will be competitive next year. You've got a real #1 goaltender, a couple of decent young D and the makings of a group of top 6 forwards. Andrews may end up as the leader of the bunch, i hope he does, but when you've got your 19 and 20 year olds sucking wind, they aren't doing him any favours as far as learning how to play the game the right way

Haha, I was thinking Boudreau is it, tearing up Quebec Midget AAA? There's a couple of others probably ahead of Myers as well. He'll get his chance next year. His overall game is rounding into form nicely, but it's doing him no harm where he is now. Halifax needs a better backup. Who's in the system better than Grondin? There must be somebody
