Add Dimitruk to that list of 6 and you have your Defensive crew for next year...a group of 7... A lot can happen between now and September 2010, but even if Halifax picks a defensemen in the 2nd rd it'd be awfully tough for that player to crack the lineup. What position are the 5 picks in the first 3 rounds? Do you see them targeting predominantly forwards only in those 1st 3 rounds? What about a goalie, I know it may not be ideal, but I can't recall the last time we picked a goalie with a decent pick.

Not sure if this fits your definition of a decent pick but Corbeil was taken in the 4th round- I could see us drafting a 16 year old goalie that would be sent back to midget next year.

As of now Halifax would have the 1st or 2nd overall pick, plus the 19th pick and RIM's 2nd rd pick is i think 25th right now, but once they sell off their players, they may get down to 21 or 22
I forget whos 3rd rd picks Halifax has.
I think they will take a forward with the top pick, after that who knows. Too early to tell how things will shake down.
Pascal Leclaire we took in rd 1, but after that we have taken Boutin, Kennedy and Corbeil in rd 4 and Yetman in rd 5....I cant remember a goalie being taken any higher than 4th rd since Leclaire (1998)

With the current standings it would be: 1 - Halifax; 19 - Halifax; 28 - Rimouski; 33 - Victoriaville; and 37 - Halifax. The Rimouski 2nd round pick could move up a few places, if Caron and Cormier are dealt, as rumored.

I hope it is Medcafe not Amyot I am and was hoping to have two twenty year old defense plua Grant next season as our twenties.. 2 20 year old D?? Dressing 6 D per game, there won't be enough room for 2 20 D, with these 6 in the mix next year. Clarke Alberthauser Gillard Hannay Bishop Lewis Bishop is struggling in MAAA at 16, I doubt he's a lock to be Q calibre next year let alone a guaranteed spot in the top 6. He may end up being a complete bust. Even if Lewis was #7 it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I agree with you, but there is no way they cut him next year, at the very least he will be 7th d...whether thats right or wrong its the way it is.

Yeah, just pointing out that the blueline is not as crowded as some are saying. Plus, it's never a bad thing to have a couple of promising 15 year old d-men playing MAAA(in Quebec preferably or Jr.a in the Maritimes).

Not crowded really for next year but all the spots are "taken". They have 9D on the roster right now (Abeltshauser is away and sounds like Clarke is injured) so I'm thinking Amyot may be on the move and obviously the 16 year olds may or may not be kept up with the Moose.

Clarke out. Injured before Moncton game. Injured before the Moncton game? He played the full game, when he was not in the penalty box. Is this a bit of sarcasm?

I actually heard that somewhere else as well. Maybe it was just a nagging injury that he thought he could play through and aggrivated it in the Moncton game.

Apparently tweaked his groin in practice but tried to play through it in the Moncton game. Out for a couple of games. Also heard Gillard is out with knee.

When I read Elements post I thought groin Injury probably as he has a history with that injury then I read the post by HFX2012...groins bad they have a tendency to creep up after being injured once...I think that has plagued him since he was stateside.

big surprise guys Lewis and Bishop are playing in the same game does that mean they will both get in tomorrow night again? Why is it a big surprise? Abeltshauer is away, Clarke and Gillard are injured. That leaves 6 healthy dmen so both had to play!! Do you even think before you post?
