The whole team looked sick, Corbeil and Grondin had way to much turkey. Moncton looked good for sure although a few of their goals should have been stopped. Was fun to see Boudreau, I do not think he looked out of place and he created a few chances and drew a penalty (which was an f'n miracle tonight). I thought Stoddard was our best forward tonight, which is scary, but the kid worked hard all night and created some chances. All in all..............not a good effort against a really good team leads to 10-1 loss.

Anyone give me a game report for the first 12 mins? I missed the first 12 mins of the game, not that made much difference tonight; I hope we can quickly put this one behind us because we have practice tomorrow and then we have a home and home with Cape Breton I hope we can win one of them. O well if we don't make the play-offs this year next year should finally be our year to make the playoffs; I was not impressed with the amount of showboating Moncton did tonight there is no need to run up the score like that. I heard some people say the officiating was brutal; I didn't think it was bad after the first, Yes I know I normally complain ,but they are human miss calls too. At least he's not an idiot like the NHL refs who do Ottawa's freaking games they think were the only team on the ice all night. I hope we have Clarkie back and Desi on Tues night, Just read on rinkrant that were not trading Tomas too big a part of the team. All in all I would rather forget tonight's game and move on to Tues and Wed night's games tomorrow is a new day.
GO MOOSE Go!!!!

Didnt see this game, but yeah, we must have been awful given the last two games in Halifax, it could easily be argued that the moose were better than Moncton. Odd to see a team we played so evenly erupt against us like this. One of those games I guess. Might be a couple more like this though when they are full strength later this year.

Especially considering we had about half our team ;D

Everybody in and out of the lineup seemed to result in no flow from the Moose
Knotek, Andrews and Desjardins takes guys off of each of the top 3 lines. Lemieux was hurt early in the game and Hannay was playing forward. Costello dressed with a broken thumb just so the Moose had 20 guys. No Clarke and Abeltshauser was in his first game in a while. No flow.
Moncton's pieces are coming into place (SNB are looking like they may be playing it too cheap... though the trade period is obviously not over) and and couple depth moves should round them into shape... maybe add some toughness. Brown looked in rough shape... arm or shoulder maybe. Gormley took a hit from Bahm and may have banged his head off the ice as he was out of it when trying to get up.
I would have liked Bishop to play more. Boudreau played pretty well. I actually though Metcalfe had quite a good game and in general has been playing very solid lately... calm with the puck, some big hits and the obvious toughness. He came back well in the fight tonight. He'd be a solid 3rd pairing dman for a team adding depth and toughness... just not sure if the moose would get enough to make it really worth it as he's good for the team.

Funny, when SJ beat you guys with 7-1 you were all over them about running up the score and now Moncton humiliates you even worse and not one word. What's going on??

I for one am pretty numb after the beating we took yesterday. Our goaltending was soo bad I don't think Moncton could help from running up the score.

Can we bring someone in who could teach Corbeil to deaden the shots he receives he gives up mostly all rebounds every time and yesterday Moncton were getting sometimes 4 shots after the original one which quickly raises the shots on goal and ultimately the score and Yes I realize that the defence was missing as well, especially Dimitruk who is starting to show us why he could not get ice time in Moncton, lately he has been slow, never hitting, waving the magic wand and basically standing around wondering whats going on, Flynn wouldn't put up with that and neither should Russell. ( just checked and he was a MINUS SIX yesterday ) and he was not alone.

Cats were just rolling four lines and couldn't help but score. Also on the last PP we had our 3rd and 4th lines out there. Weren't the Sea Dogs still running out Hoffman, Petersen and company for a PP late in that 7-1 game?
