The only thing i question is how we got Gatineau's 2nd, I thought we had Victo's unless it was a Gatineau pick that Victo traded to us last year when we held off on a pick last year for the 2nd this year. Yeah it was Gatineau's pick that Victo dealt us.

Delmas was still a pretty sought after player last summer, but his crappy year again this year dropped his value considerably. I think what Russel is trying to do is if he thinks MCT is gone after next year, he may try and trade him to a contender and use Delmas as a 20 as it's unlikely he signs pro IF he plays better the second half f the year. Yea Corbeil being 18 is going to have to be something they deal with. Ideally we make some steps next year, make the playoffs, the young guys get better, and then in 2011-2012, we make the leap and make a run. Well by that time MCT will be 20. A lot can happen between now and then, but assuming he develops at the rate he has, gets drafted etc etc, the likelyhood of him being here as a 20 are slim. We all know that having a legit #1 goalie is step #1 if you want to contend for a championship. It could be a situation where we build everything else (forwards, defence) and simply do what Drummondville did this year and move some high picks and just go out and acquire a proven veteran goalie. Lala (or anyone else) what's the goaltending prospects looking like for this years draft? Wouldn't mind taking a guy with one of those 5 picks in the top 40. As far as the article goes, I like it. Nothing really knew in it, same stuff, but that's good. Consistant message to rebuild and go with the youth. It's what we need, so glad no one is waivering. Agree with CJD, I like the tone of Smith with regards to the euro pick. Everyone loves Knotek, but a top 3-6 pick?? You've got to take advantage of that. Sounds like that's the direction Smith wants to go.

In regards to the goaltending prospects in the upcoming draft, its early but it looks like its a year similar to last year. Probably about 5-6 that go in the first 2 rounds. Im sure with all the picks Halifax has they can get the goalie they want, if thats the route they want to go.

There is a goalie in the valley last name is Whitney who is ranked highly-his stats are not that great but when you factor in the shots he faces as far as quality and quantity he is highly regarded. You could say he is the reason why they have won as many games as they have.

IMO it should be the one and only option. We have enough Q picks to fill needs elsewhere throughout the line-up. Euros bring skill and goal scoring, and we need that more then anything right now.

We will try to fill the holes up front with those 5 top picks and also get the best we can from Europe too a center would be great...
