It's still rather early, but there's no reason not to be anything but impressed with how the club is playing. And of course, people cannot help but think ahead to how will a Sheppard and a healthy Culligan affect this lineup...there's plenty of reason to be excited and 5 or 6 seed playoff spot is a definite possibility in the East.

I was really, really impressed with Olivier Roy's game Friday in St. John. He stood in front of a great team effort and played a consistent game that made for a solid win.

Joey Haddad is looking to be a very solid acqusition. I didn't see the game yesterday but I hear he had another good one. But I thought he was arguably the best player on the ice on Friday.

for fun, I like these forward lines for later in the season:
Shep/Haddad/Culligan
Ouellet/Slaney/Laberge
Quesnel/MacNeil/Gauthier
Gouchie/Choiunard/Fontaine

i also am quite impressed with the defensive corp. they are deep and they can skate and hit.

the best way I can say it is that this Eagles package is obviosuly better than I (and probably others) expected. Early in the season or not, the product is there.

Oh God, hopefully not much attention paid to this......... getting all excited about "Sportsnet" type rankings has caused many a team to go out and get smoked the next game!

Probably the first time somebody thought Billy and CHSB were the same person...at least that is what it sounds like.

And as far as people making predictions, we all do it. It's fun, and it seems most Eagle fans aren't buying into where others say we will end up, mid pack or so. I think most of us(in September) would be very happy if the team will make the play-offs.
