Figured I'd come on here and see people shit all over Clarke. The kid actually played decent tonight, played physical and had a few good rushes. Yes, he took a penalty that the Sea Dogs capitalized on but that is part of his game - playing physical. If you guys all want to play the blame game, why not send some of it towards Grant and Desjardins? Both players missed w i d e open nets that would have sealed the game, but I guess we could just skip that part and just rag on Clarke like always. Clarke has a lot of secret admirers around the Maritimes ;D

Clarke's penalty was bad, but that's Garrett Clarke. Gotta take the good with the bad. Why he would throw his elbow out at that time in the game is beyond me, but he played a good game. I thought he got a little caught up in some stuff, seemed to be getting frustrated a lot, but he played well.
Thought Desjardins played very well. Always skating hard, got the goal as well. Had the chance Knotek set up for him, but the puck was rolling a bit was it not? Still probably should have had it, but tough break. Grant missing his chance was unbelievable. I think I'm going to lose sleep over that one. Can't imagine what he'll be like.

I think he has to learn when to "temper" the physical play with "smart play". An elbow in the last 2 minutes is not a smart play (if it was an elbow???)

Yeah Clarke made a beauty rush and pass to set up Grant for a wide open net and he shot it wide. I think that would have made it 5-3 and sealed it.

Tough loss for sure, but at this point what does it really matter? We got a point and deserved to win the game, I can accept that. No way we should lose a 4-2 lead with under 8 min to go, but at least I didn't have to sit through another 8-1 or 9-1 loss to these guys. Clarke is clarke, accept it. We missed two open nets, they go in Clarke's penalty doesn't matter anyways. He played well tonight for the most part imo. Petersen got away with some major hooks tonight, unbelievable how that shit isn't called on star players, in OT he practically cruised up the ice on the strength of clarke, lol.
Overall, nice effort, but unfortunately they found a way to win. But we hung in there all night and it was fun to see. Hopefully they don't let down tommorrow.

Great game and Delmas was good he made the Saves in OT may have wanted the 4th one back. But I was fuming at the end of the first that hit on our player in the first was a check from behind and def 5 and a game and the idiot lets it go. Great message after the league suspends Cormier and Scandella guy doing the job did an okay job but he was getting Saint John get away with a lot in the first; then Cam or Thomas must have said something because he called them for the next 2. Good job by the Boys and a exciting game for the fans I was expecting to be blown out and we nearly beat the CHL's top team again; So next season looks so promising has me thinking hard core about renewing my season tickets!!! GO Moose Go Good Luck tomorrow night vs them Eagles!!
*Saint John didn't deserve to win that game Halifax totally outplayed them but sometimes you win games you don't deserve too!!

Clarke has a lot of secret admirers around the Maritimes ;D Regardless of his admirers or detractors when you sit at a home game in Halifax it's obvious the fans love him and when your in Moncton, PEI, SJ, CB and many of the other arenas the fans hate him. A dumb penalty against Gagne however as someone else said you take the good with the bad. I sat with several SJ fans/friends tonight and even they said, when he's on the ice the other team takes notice as he keeps everyone on their toes. He's a 17 year old bonehead at times but he makes things happen and obviously Cam trusts him enough to put him in just about every situation. And come on, he handed Grant a gift on a silver platter in the 3rd plus made several other rushes. And no LaLa, I'm not convinced he's a keeper yet but apparently someone does. And according to some in the media the scouts like him. TRADÉ HIM. LOL

Those calls will happen every time when there is only one ref the fact is both players should have ben called as Seadog player started it and ref only saw what Clarke did in return...But it was a really exciting game and Saint John did show why they are on top of the deck too...Three straight goals.. But we as fans of the Moose have to be very proud of our team as we kept the Seadogs in check all night and we did get one point more than 80 % of the fans were thinking coming in rink..Also we really must have gotten under the ski of Seadogs and their fans too watching us having a 4-2 lead in the third period..Not Bad for a last place team..SHAME,SHAME Seadogs watch out for those Wildcats they will try to eat every thing ....

I thought Clark was the best Moosehead on the ice last night. The penalty was a bad decision, not sure why he would even step up for the hit at that time in the game, put himself out of position at a time when you should be thinking defense but those are mistakes 17 yrlds make. Too bad he didn't have a better set of wheels, his draft status would definately rise IMO.

Why are there more out of towners posting about Garrett Clarke in this thread than actual Moose fans discussing the game? Hmmm
Halifax didnt lose because of Garrett Clarke...but whatever floats people's boats.
I GUESS IT FLOATS CAM'S BOAT
