Similar records. This could be a game that we actually win.
Given the fact that it is a Wednesday and the state of the team, I put the o/u at around 2650.
Wonder if Vern gets the start for this one? During the last post game, Joseph confirmed that "Hayes is the #1". He went on to say something to the affect that if Vern does get some starts and proves himself...he'll get more ice time? I don't fully understand the latter, but, then again, I don't understand much surrounding this franchise at the moment.

Don't get them too mad. We play them Friday and it's an important game for us too. Try to hit them as much as possible.

#88 may be injured that's why they called up Larade. Oh well there goes some of the PK. Metcalfe does a hell of a job on PK. I watched him for 2 minutes straight in front of the net in Gatineau. He had some great blocking and stick work. I wish he would rush more, he has the power. I always wondered why Flynn picked him up from Halifax until I focused a little more on his detailed play. He is a simple guardian and gets a nice pass up to whoever can take it. Dion will step it up tonight. he is another strong player that needs more confidence. I do not get to see your games often but your team does have some solid players. You are right about Ellis, I saw him play in Montreal, completely different style there. He worries too much again of someone missing his pass and it comes back to haunt him. example; his plus minus situation. Good luck tonight will watch on the resetting Telus. My 3cents.

Where did you hear that Metcalfe was injured and that Larade is called up?
What is the nature of Metcalfe's injury?

What I am hearing it is a minor lower body injury from practice.

Metcalfe took a puck off the ankle in practice and they said he is day to day. This hurts even more since Hrbranka (sp) is out 4-6 weeks. I imagine Fournier is back on D where he belongs. Fournier moves the puck better than most of our D, so I hate when they play him at forward.
Dion has to keep playing with the edge that he showed last game. He is much more effective when he plays mean. I also think it would be a good chance to get Veronneau a start, but with a winnable game, maybe they start Hayes.

Sort of. We have 1 more GF. Our GA are 65 to their 56. They have 3 more points. They have 2 OTL and 2 SL. We have 0 OTL and 1 SL.

If the Eagle Brass decides to let Verroneau start in one of the next 7 games, it will almost be like throwing him to the wolves after not getting to play against the weaker Haifax and Gatineau offenses.
What happens now if Hayes gets h......... No never mind.

What happens now if Hayes gets h......... No never mind. I just don't understand what Verroneau's done to warrant the stapling to the bench. For the most part I thought he's been alright for a 17-year-old essentially rookie in the starts he's been given. I remember Mario giving him some blame for that 8-2 loss at home to Quebec, but I honestly didn't think he played that badly at all that night - that was just a team rolling on all cylinders. I know we've had two very good other options in Lacerte and Hayes, but in my mind Verroneau hasn't done anything to warrant the coaching staff losing confidence in him. But in his mind, the kid has got to be wondering.

again I say - what does it matter who we have in goal when we can't score! agree about Veronneau....definitely looks like backup for the year with limited time...way to develop our 'goalie of the future'
did the staff have poppies on last night?

But after the game, head coach and general manager Mario Durocher took the blame for the loss.
“The last two minutes of the second period, I shouldn’t have sent my third and fourth line, I should have sent my first and second line,” he said. “We got a penalty on that and then they scored, it was just a bad decision for myself.
Just one of many bad decisions. The rink was awfully quiet last night. I wonder why.
