I saw Bodnarchuk in the hallway during the third and he was moving fine so I would definitely say precautionary.
I also saw MacMillan and he looked a little sore, I would almost say he had a sore back more or less but I am no doctor. Either way it didn't seem serious.

NHL camps open around September 15...most teams have rookie camps that take place before then and they invite a few rookies to main camp. ok Jakub said hes leaving on the 4th so im just wondering how many games he will miss...im guessing between 4-6 games since if they start on the 14th but i guess it all depends on how much of a look they want to give him since its sounding like they are pretty sure on sending him back this year

Well another good game by the Moose. The first couple minutes it looked like it was going to be a close battle... and then the Moose start to dominate putting up shot after shot with PEI seeing very little of the Moose zone. A 5 on 3 got PEI in it a bit but the night was mostly the Mooseheads. PEI came back a bit late but the game already had that everyone's ready for it to end feeling.
With PEI dressing their two top forwards I expected a bit more but didn't notice them a ton... they didn't have who? Doyle, Locke, Latal and Lessard.
Moose didn't have Yetman, Voracek, Knotek, Bona, White, Bodnarchuk for most the game and MacMillan for half it. Edit... and Cheremetiev.
There was a lot of crap in the game with forearms to the back of the head, hits from behind, a bad knee, high cross checks. Only one fight was any decent (I really didn't see any good fights in the brawl) and the was a good little one between Main and O'Donnell. The lefty O'Donnell did pretty well and I'd say got the edge in the fight.
Neither Moose goalie played too bad. Kennedy was alright. Dumaresque was unlucky on the 4th goal and the 5th was a bit weak.

Thought the first period the Moose took it to them hard, although I think the PEI goalie was a little shaky. Was anyone as impressed as I was with O'Donnell? Scored a nice goal did not back down from a fight and seemed to be in the right place a lot of the night. How has he looked in practice and the other games? I didnt really notice him at the four on four Saturday night but I thought he looked great tonight.

O'Donnell has been very good...too bad hes 19..he may get a few games in though as we have 18 forwards and they will likely go with 16 to start. Fulton has been good too...its going to be tough to cut these guys with the way they are playing.

Fulton has been good too...its going to be tough to cut these guys with the way they are playing. I was happy to see Fulton/O'Donnell/Louis-Seize playing on the same line for much of the game, and to be honest, I thought the former two trumped the latter. Louis-Seize picked up his game in the third, throwing the body around a bit more. Fulton was on the go, skating hard, and playing well with the puck for the whole game. Quite an energetic kid, who would not look out of place in an energy line role. O'Donnell did well in the fight, and he's going to have to do things like that to show that he deserves a spot on the roster. He's definitely fighting an uphill battle, given his age, but he has played well. Those last forward cuts are going to be difficult, especially if Peters is moved. As far as Pender is concerned, he just seems to be coasting right now. That is not something someone who is only a fourth or fifth defenseman on a deep defensive unit should be doing at this point in camp.

Few player notes: I found it interesting the it was Swan, Hillier and Corsi playing together and not Pridham. That line didn't play a ton but played awesome and scored a couple nice goals. Very good down low, great puck movement and quick. The three of them played really well. Randell got some time on D at the end of the game and played pretty well considering he's a 16 year old forward. MacMillan look great while he played. Probably the most physical Moose player knocking guys around and was great with the puck. He made a beauty pass to... ... Gilbert for a nice goal. I like this kid. He's faster than I thought he was, was crafty and has a good shot. I've been pretty impressed with both of his preseason games; it's easy to notice his skill. Smith - a force. He had a good game and his strength is becoming more and more apparent. Just seems to put his shoulder down and bit and walks through guys by going wide. Little more speed this year as well. Greer - This guy gets nervous when guys are forechecking on him but he showing some flashes of great skill. He's solid one on one because of his skating. Pender was ok. I'd like him to get the big shot off quicker. And time for more snapping Monast - he's going to be a awesome #2 D this year and is extremely well rounded. He was throwing the body tonight. MacAskill is looking much better this year and laid Morrison out with a beauty hit. Fulton and O'Donnell looked like guys trying to take Louis-Seize's spot tonight. Both played gritty and with some spark. Both got some PK time as well. Louis-Seize has to bring a consistent energy and physical play or should worry a little about his role on the team.

Caught the 2nd and 3rd period of the game. Thought Corsi, Hillier, Gilbert and O'Donnell played well. I too have been impressed with O'Donnell. Didnt expect much from him, considering he was a late addition to camp, but he's faired ok. Seems to have some decent skill, offensive insticts. Needs work on his skating, but should be a good affiliation player.
Also Ive been impressed with Gilbert. He had a lot of hype coming into camp, as most 1st rounders do, and from what ive seen, I like him a lot. The skill is obvious, but Ive been impressed with other aspects of his game. He plays hard every shift, skates hard and is involved in the play. I think he's gonna be fine.
Also, does anyone else think that if Gilbert gets off to a decent start to the season, that he'll get more looks on the top 3 scoring lines than say, Smith, Chermetiev, maybe even White??? I have a feeling he'll be given his chances.

Whoactually fought who in the line brawl? Need to know for my logs?
From the penaltie it looks like DesRochers and MacAskill was the first fight.
So that leaves:
Benoit Gervais, Jan Kana and Jordon Southorn
Gabriel O'Connor, Garrett Peters and Ryan Hillier
Any help much appreciated.
EDIT: looks like it was:
Hillier/Gervais Peters/Southorn O'Connor/Kana

Alright game......... not as entertaining as 13 goals and a line brawl would have you believe, but alright. On paper the squads looked fairly comparable but on the ice Halifax was a step ahead, although they were helped out by the fact that the first PEI goalie needs a little bit of polishing before he's ready for this level. As someone else said the line of Hillier-Corsi-Swan really controlled the puck smoothly down low and combined for three nice goals; Hillier's setup on the first goal (Corsi's) was particularly sweet. Conversely, vets I didn't notice much for the Moose were Peters and Pridham......... Peters did score but it was pretty much a fluke that never should have gone in. Pridham - perhaps he needs to be on a line with Voracek to be overly noticeable? Then again it's only one game. I gotta say that Sean O'Donnell continues to impress me. Again he showed nice skill and moves in both the neutral and offensive zones, a nice touch around the net (a pretty goal), and did great for himself in a spirited scrap with Bryan Main. I know he's 19 but how do you honestly cut a guy if he continues to play like this? I also continue to like the play of young Travis Randell. Greer is gonna be a good one but didn't impress me as much as he did two nights prior. MacAskill looks a fair bit improved from last year, and I'm seeing why Gabe O'Connor was picked as high as he was (good two-way game and GREAT shot to the top corner last night). MacAskill also laid out Brett Morrison with a beauty of an open-ice hit that slowly snowballed into that line brawl (which wasn't a spectacular line brawl, four average fights and a non-fight, but it was still entertaining enough). On the PEI side of things, Morrison wasn't nearly the force I expected (not that that means anything) and it wasn't until the third period that I really started noticing Walker. Maxim Cliche obviously had a good game scoring a hat trick - one goal where his patience while parked in front of the net on a PP paid off with a tap-in, and two more where he basically fired the puck through holes in the goaltender........ one through Kennedy's armpit (I think?) and another thru Dumaresque's (sp?) five-hole. I liked little Jan Kana........ decent skill (but not a top-tier Euro..... then again the same was once said about Martins Karsums), and seems to be able to handle the physical side of the game well enough (not just talking about his willingness to drop the gloves). The PEI bench really seemed to enjoy it that he fought O'Connor and were all over Kana with kudos when he got back to the bench. Speaking of the PEI bench, Jean called a timeout after the 3-0 goal........ who calls a timeout in an exhibition game? Hardly noticed Brandon Street at all, for what that's worth (hard for a fan to notice everyone on two teams not wearing name bars) but thought Brandon MacLean looked pretty decent. Nice shot glove side on his penalty shot goal. And lala is right - Main is going to piss off a lot of East Division fans this year! Guy's kind of a bull in a china shop. Remember that this is the same guy who put out Brassard for almost the entire season last September. Could be the most hated guy in the division come the winter. The question is, will that include PEI fans? Not sure if I can think of much else to say!
