What you don't think Financially stable steams should be rewarded for sucking ass? PFFT. crazy concept. No, but I don't necessarily think financially struggling teams should be handed top prospects to get their business affairs in order either. A number of elements could go into it: - All non-playoff teams have a (weighted) chance at first overall. Have the lottery determine the entire order, like the NBA does - Teams who picked first overall can't do so again for three years. If they win the lottery, they pick at two. - Teams who did not make the playoffs but improved their point total by ten or more get bonus balls, do encourage even marginal improvement among rebuilding teams. That I like. Here's a better question. If there's an NHL lockout will you immediately begin supporting the NHL again? Sad fact of the matter is 99% + of fans will, meaning Betman and the NHL will go completely unpunished for treating us, the fans, like dirt.... again. Let's build back the market we had in States... Ah fuck it, let's get rid of that and destroy our work getting hockey back in America and on TV there again. Lock it out! I guess I was being slightly narrow minded not thinking of the yanks.

Would this not be the format; same one that was used in 2005? If so here's how it would go. TEAMS WITH THREE BALLS (7)Calgary, Carolina, Columbus, Dallas, Minnesota, Toronto, WinnipegTEAMS WITH TWO BALLS (6)Anaheim, Colorado, Florida, New York (I), St. Louis, Tampa BayTEAMS WITH ONE BALL (17)Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, Detroit, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Montreal, Nashville, New Jersey, New York (R), Ottawa, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Jose, Vancouver, WashingtonHaving three balls sounds like a disadvantage, but it's good as you can see teams that have 3 balls aren't very good, recently. there was no disadvantage...the first ball out had the 1st overall pick, if I remember it correctly,,,,,,,so the more balls, the better.......the 2nd ball out, got the 2nd pick......they just revealed it backwards, but the picks were already made. it's been a while, and I'm getting forgetful, so I could be wrong.

I am happy with two balls thank you ! Also my wish is MacKinnon gets picked by the Edmonton Oilers !! Nothing is impossible. I would like to see him get drafted by the Leafs. No wait, Burke would likely trade the pick to the Red Wings for Betruzzi
