Goal and an assist today for MacKinnon and Canada won a tune-up game against Switzerland 4-0. Looking forward to see what he can do against the very best in the world.
I almost said that with a straight face.

MacKinnon's debut with team Canada at the mens level got off to a great start. At least he got an assist. www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=451668None of the teams at the tournament are very strong. This could be the most even tournament ever.

France just beat Slovakia in regulation. So a 2 point win against Canada, a 3 point win against Slovakia, and a 0 point loss to Italy.
Denmark, Finland and Switzerland are the only teams that don't have at least a point in the tournament after 2 games, and I'd expect Finland and Switzerland to eventually make the playoffs. Even hockey makes for exciting hockey.

Hope Canada does well, I'm glad to see they rebounded after that first game

And Nathan caps his first season as the Rookie of the Year. WAY TO GO Nathan Well deserved ... great rookie season ... playing for Roy probably had a little to do with it. He had confidence in him to throw him right in.

Yup, excellent season for MacKinnon. The Avs as a team will learn from their little hiccup against Minnesota. I hope they can keep their current group together for a few more years. They need some help on defense though.
