Since the Christmas trade period is over and we are fast approaching the playoffs, does anyone have an updated list of the draft picks by teams for the upcoming draft in June? Any help would be appreciated.

I thought Dumont said at Off the Record that they had 6 picks in the first 2 rounds .

Thanks Hal, that sounds about right.I might be mistaken, but I thought Dumont said at the open mike session that this year he has 3 first round picks and 6 seconds? I can see the two firsts, one from the League in the Nicholas Roy draft and one from Chicoutimi in the trade of Roy. Cannot see where the third first rouder is. Just looking for some clarificiation.

He was most likely including 2015 .

Now that the final standings are in, this is what we will look like at the 2014 draft. Barring any trade or suffle of picks we will pick as follows: Round 1, 5th and 18th, ROUND 2, 28TH,29TH,34TH AND 37TH. We should land some good prospects with these picks. Things are looking up.

I can pretty much guarantee you there will be some movement at the draft. I expect that overall 5th pick to be traded. Our needs are too big on d and in net. That being said, can someone shed some light on the top 5 picks in the draft, and what kind of players will be on the block at the draft for d and goalies?

Chad Krys—D—New Jersey Rockets 5’11/170 26 08 22 30 2. Mitchell Balmas—F—Cape Tradesman 6’01/168 20 15 23 38 3. Jordan Maher—F—Centeral Ice Pack 5’11/158 20 21 20 41 4. Evan Fitzpatrick—G—Newbridge 6’02/170 09 04 1.90 .940 5. Pascal Laberge—F—Chateauguay 6’01/153 34 19 19 38 Those are the ranking from scoutman1 over at HF, he is a scout for a maritime Q team I believe. Here is a thread to read if you want: hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showthread.php?t=1586565If Fitzpatrick is available at 5 I would like to see him become an Eagle.

Fitzpatrick ? So a 17 year old Goalie in your "Go For It Year " ? "All my years scouting in the QMJHL and this guy i would have to say is easily the best goaltender I have watched in over a decade. his size and IQ in the net are just really great to watch, amazing positioning, great rebound control, excellent reflexes, and is a big game goalie who makes amazing saves to keep his team in the game...I personally think this guy could be the best since Roberto Luongo." -scoutman1 He isn't just some decent goalie prospect and I would be shocked if he wasn't an upgrade over Bureau/Fortin.
