Look's like some folks don't even give a chance to the Eagles if the playoff's were to start today as they say it's a walk in the park for Quebec WOW this should me motivating for some of our ex Rampart's on the team if ever we start the 1st round against Quebec…... i55.servimg.com/u/f55/18/08/81/16/series10.jpg

Yah I don't really understand how they can say Chicoutimi could take a game from Rimouski, yet CB can't win a game against Quebec. Really, I'd give Shawinigan a chance at taking a game from Baie-Comeau the way Shawinigan has played them lately.
Remember that it's just one person's blog and not to take it seriously.

oh there will be some upsets.....doubt quebec will walk all over the eagles I would think just winning 1 game would be a success for the Eagles in that series so I would say the the prediction is warranted.

Jack, I beg to differ having played the game at the same level I experienced the folks that said the same thing in a series I was part of and we came for the war and ended up on the winning side. (the game is played on the ice anything can happen) Last year Grigorenko came back and was not bad against Chicoutimi but could not make it happen against the Huskies The Eagles can surely score goals and are a fast team the way you shut down Quebec is playing physical which I have seen us do this year our area of confusion is tightening up our defensive play if we could be better defensively in our zone we have a true chance….. OH BY THE BY we are not even sure who we will take on in the 1st round yet anyways but let's try to be a little positive if we can GEEZ

Ask #theShaw about upsets, 2 years ago.

Upsets are not very probable especially in the first round with this current playoff format. They do happen but not often.
On the Quebec blogger >> I would not take much consideration into that one blog but something tells me most of them think CB will be a walk in the park.
Vs The Remparts on paper Quebec has the win but playoffs are playoffs and anything can happen.

Since 2007, only Rimouski over Gatineau, Victo over Bathurst in 2011, Baie Comeau over Victo in 2012, Victo over Moncton, and Gatineau over Rimouski in 2013 are the upsets in the 1st round, where the spread of points for the two teams has been greater than 10 points.
I would call that rare. The chances of getting swept in that scenario are over three times greater than pulling off the upset.

yep first round upsets almost never happen in the Q
however this year there is a different dynamic than in years past.. and if ever a year where a couple teams might be able to upset a favorite in round one.. it could be this year
I think the Eagles are a team that could upset anybody they wind up playing

But in this league right now with 6 or 7 teams clearly above the rest I don't think that will translate well into the playoffs. I think their chances at an upset all ride on the team they're playing. If it's Quebec(or any team higher then them right now) then I agree that 1 win is a success so I essentially agree with the random fan blog that started this thread in the first place.

I have to agree with Jack Bauer.....24 of Cape Breton's 31 wins have come against teams that are lower than them in the standings, and Sherbrooke beat them twice. Of those 24 wins, 19 have come against 4 teams......Bathurst (7), Saint John (5), Charlottetown (5), and Shawinigan (2).
Not taking anything away from the Eagles, but their record does look inflated somewhat from playing in a weak(er) division.
