Oh good that will help attendance What the heck difference is one hour going to make? Also when do they plan on telling anyone about this? It's being advertised as 7 PM everywhere. Maybe they're trying very hard to keep it that way.

The tickets.moncton.ca is already listing the Thursday game for 6pm. I find it hard to understand that if its official the cats are not letting people know well in advance. If they can't fight it they need to do everything they can to get the word out about the updated start time.

If they can't fight it they need to do everything they can to get the word out about the updated start time. In the media notes I received 1/2 an hour ago, it still says 7:00 PM. If they move it to 6:00 PM, what happens in the event of an overtime? Will the Coliseum take over: "Sorry folks, the boat show needs the ice surface. Please leave in a calm and orderly manner." Meanwhile, City staff and council are arguing about a new rink, with City staff shrinking the project at every opportunity. This city sure misses Ian Fowler, that guy could make things move.

It's almost comedic at this point. Coliseum site says 6 PM as you said, but everywhere else continues to say 7 PM.
Coliseum trying to push the issue? Certainly can't blame the Cats for being pissed if a 7 PM time was agreed upon and now they want to change it. But who knows what exactly happened.

Does the Coliseum site say Atlantic time or Eastern time? Maybe they're copying from the league site.

Just called the Wildcats office. An woman who did not say her name told me the following
"There's a possibility that the game will be earlier, we should have an announcement later this afternoon"
I'd bet on the 6PM start but as mentioned above, what's an extra hour really going to do other than inconvenience fans? 7PM is already a tight squeeze to eat supper at home for those of us that work across town until 5PM. 6PM is going to hurt an already hurt playoff crowd.

Do we know for a fact yet that the attendance will be low tonight ? I hadn't heard anything ... just assuming from past history.

I just went on the box office website to see and was able to get 4 tickets together in row H of Section 10. For Upperbowl you can get 4 tickets in Section 29 Row K or Section 28 Row G. Safe to say there's still LOTS of decent seats available. They're not flexible on their playoff packages anymore and that definitely won't help them. Not having the pay as you go option is killer. Especially when you consider they're not likely to go far in the playoffs and even if they won the championship, even if all their series went 7 games that's still likely only 12 home games when they're charging you for 16.

Yeah the "Cheer Now, Pay Later" option was great for playoff packages. No clue why they would get rid of that. Maybe there was some sort of logistical issue that made it a pain, but it was certainly a great option for the fans. Maybe I'm imagining things but I seem to recall their being 2-3 options for playoff packages not that long ago and now it's just the one 16-game package option. Not to mention that playoff packages this year were a VERY hard sell after the hyped "All In" playoff run last year that saw a grand total of two home games played.
