If anyone can find video of the hit , it would be much appreciated. When was it? According to the summary, it would be at 5:14 of the 1st period.

According to the summary, it would be at 5:14 of the 1st period. Ok I can grab that when I get home from the pub. Early in a game videos are good :-)

According to the summary, it would be at 5:14 of the 1st period. This is the hit in question for that penalty.

^^ That would've been a highlight on Rock'em Sock'em hockey 5 years ago. But now, even though it's a straight on hit, it's a penalty, and suspendable. No accountability anymore. "Keep your head up" doesn't exist. I guess it's the player's responsibility to abide by the rules that are in place, no matter how stupid.

I don't think that should be a suspension. Also the BLB player should have gotten an instigator or extra 2 minutes for roughing.

Personally I think it is a suspendable hit...In today's game it's up to "Chris or insert any name here" to see that the incoming player's head is down while following through on the shot and up to him to let up and not take him out. Tough break for the Cats...Thankfully doesn't appear to be any lasting issues with the BLB player.

I just looked on the QMJHL Site and it says BLB got fined $1000.00 and Wildcats fined $1000.00 nothing said about game suspensions.

The Q site states that each team was fined $1000 for breaking warmup rules. I assume they stayed out too long.

Wow! The retreads have already exceeded last years superstar roster in playoff performance. Retreads ? We have something like 14 first year players ? Did you understand that the roster is not loaded with superstar talent like last years team that was supposed to contend?

Sure ... but calling them "retreads" suggests they are players that have been passed around the league. Call them rookies if you want to make your point clear.

So you understood...but still felt the need to nitpick...good for you. No ... I asked why you called them retreads ... the word simply does not fit. Your post made me think that you felt they were unwanted players from other teams. I asked for clarification ... you clarified ... showing that you used the word incorrectly. I know what the team is ... but your post suggested you didn't.
