I wouldn't think so, al least not until after a few practices. And besides Fortier is not expected until the weekend.

I never in a million, trillion, gazillion years thought I would ever say this........ If Ashley is really hurt........... We're gonna have to rely on Luca Ciampini to step it up.. Oh god

Oh god I'd almost throw Shewfelt up on the 2nd line tonight and leave Ciampini on the 3rd line with the Moynihans. More than likely Andrew Ryan will be centering the 2nd line, so Meier will have to take his place on the 1st line with Drouin/Ehlers. I like Shewfelt on the 2nd line because he's a fast skater and a hard worker. Gadoury and Ryan can finish, and Shewfelt can hopefully get them the puck.

Oh god I have been paying more attention to Ciampini this playoffs and he actually doesn't look too bad. He seems to be a little more with it. He is on the second PP unit I believe. I really really want him to be better this playoffs.

Ciampini has been pretty decent in round 1. That being said, it is against the islanders and I'd be a little scared to see him vs. Gatineau or anyone actually tough.

Ciampini has been as good as you can hope for this series, but he's such a brutal skater and has such a pitiful shot he needs to be in the right place at the right time in the offensive zone and has to have a step on the opposition when the play goes the other way.
He is what he is.

Lines:
Gadoury - Drouin - Ehlers Meier - Ryan - Ciampini Shewfelt - D. Moynihan - C. Moynihan Leblanc/Watt
Murphy - Weegar Duke - Lussier Bailey - Lovell Jacques
No Vuic for the 2nd game in a row. Suspended still? Or perhaps an olive branch by Ducharme?

he's got 4 points in 3 games for 1.33 ppg average....up from 0.63 over the season...yeah, it's the Islanders, but I'd be happy with that so far in the playoffs.

Ciampini had 5 points against Saint John last year, and 5 points combined against Gatineau, RN and BC. Two years ago, He had 3 points in 4 games against Moncton, and 0 points in 13 playoff games after that. History suggests that when the going gets tough, Ciampini disappears.

I'm assuming it's going to be a real blow out. I think Meier will have a big game and go home with that ugly leather jacket.
