I would not give Rumble a free pass...everyone should be held accountable...but I can forgive a lot if it seems like adjustments are being made. He is learning and adapting to the league just like most of the roster. I just expect inconsistency with a young team...we only have 2 veteran skaters who have been with the club more than one season (Lalonde and Haas). Your last point is confusing, what about Barbashev, Sweeney, Johnson, Garland? If you meant more than 2 seasons, then it would only be Lalonde and Sweeney (not Haas). More than 1 year before the start of this one...those guys were all rookies last year (Sweeney only played 6 games in 11-12). Heck Garland only played 26 games last year. The point is there are almost no veterans on the team. The average returning player on the team had about a year under their belt.

How did Martel get hurt? Paper said he crashed awkwardly into the boards ... Any chance a Cat was somehow involved and/or standing nearby? Q may look to even up on suspensions - suspend Tesink for his hit, and also whoever was deemed responsible for the Martel injury ...
Any word on the nature or extent of Holwell's injury? We are very thin on defense as it is ... who gets his minutes? I assume White draws in, but can't imagine him playing much ... Sweeney, Donnelly and Johnston will log big minutes, I suppose Klebanskyj and Haas will have to take more load as well ...
In the Acadie-Nouvelle, the box score lists Larry Christian as one of the linesmen (not per the Q site) - is this an error, or was he pressed into service at the last minute?

I'd assume nicholson draws in on D and Seeger draws back in up front.

I think they will dress 6 D with Nicholson taking Holwell's minutes. I don't see the point in dressing Tucker White....I think Seegar will draw back into the lineup in place of Holwell.

Typical fairweather fan, gets season tickets but doesn't attend the first round. He got hit as he was shooting. Clean hit but his momentum was bringing him forward due to his shot and he eventually hit the boards. I think it was near the end of the first period if you want to check the archives. And lol, haven't heard Larry Christian's name in a long time but no, the two linesmen were the same as game 4. Haas started the game as a forward but moved to D. Nicholson was dressed and Seeger was scratched. I imagine game 6 will be the same lineup we finished the game with + Seeger or Halabi.

Martel fell awkwardly and hit the boards hard. I didn't notice much contact, if any, when it happened. I just saw him hit the boards with no Cat player within 5-10 feet.

Martel got hurt all on his own......he came over the blueline 40 mph, went around Moncton's dman and straight into the end boards chasing the puck....he tried to catch himself at the last second, but looked like he lost his balance or caught an edge, and made it worse....hit the boards very hard with no Wildcat touching him.

I believe that Donnelly may have been in the vicinity when Martel crashed into the boards. Don't think there was anything to it though. No one on the Armada bench was arguing for a penalty.

I just looked at it again, Donnelly barely touched him and if he did, it was a trip. I just took a quick video of my screen. Very crappy quality and it happens half off camera.

I watched it live last night and I didn't think Donnelly touched him....the ref is right there in the corner watching it develop and called nothing, so I would say there was no trip. the announcers were talking about him trying to stop awkwardly and made it worse or something......caught an edge maybe.

If you click on my bad Youtube video, it will allow you to chose the speed and you can watch it at half speed. Donnelyy does get his stick in his feet. Here's a bad screencap lol.

He was pretty clearly stabbing/poking at the puck, but looked like the stick did trip him up. Just accidental though.

LOL - that is Zapruder film quality right there ... I predict Donnelly and Tesink each get 2 games

he was still on his feet quite a ways past that though.....he didn't really lose his balance until almost to the boards.....I guess the stick could have done it that far back.

Wether or not Donnelly is guilty of a trip is irrelevant. A trip might be worth 2 minutes but doesn't merit a suspension...
