I think he can make their AHL team no problem , and especially if they pull off a trade for some talent up front. For a quick fact though , Gormley is still buried in the minors there so it is a tough one for sure.

I would think for development purposes they'd either want him in the AHL or traded to a top team where he can have a chance to play deep into the playoffs.
He is an amazing player - everything I like to see in a defenseman - good feet, smart, physical, nasty when he needs to be, and he can play in all 3 situations (reg strength, PP and PK). He has a very bright future and we should all appreciate the fact that we got to watch him up close and personal while he developed!

Just up and back down I believe ... injury callup ... that was a few weeks ago though. Haven't heard if he is back up.

A strange fact about Gormley is that he and Cam Fowler were 1 and 1A the year they were drafted , Fowler goes a pick earlier and stays in Anaheim as an 18 year old and was a 2014 American Olympian .

Too early to say considering how much an NHL organization can change over 6 months but the good thing for CB is there's a lot of depth in that system and we should be a competitive team which presents a more attractive alternative for his development then what we've been for the last few years

That article is a bit old - Rundblad and Klesla have both been dealt since then.
