Any news on Ashley/Hardie/Andrews?
Also - what day does the next series start?

^^ Nothing official on Darcy Ashley. One poster mentioned he went to Ottawa to see a concussion specialist and he's expected out 3 weeks minimum, which would mean all of round two.
I expect both Andrews and Hardie to be back for the next game. They seemed good to go when they were interviewed on Eastlink in game 4.
I expect game one of the next series to be next Friday April 4th. The only event at the Metro Centre this month that would throw a wrench into things is Stars on Ice which is Friday April 25th. We'll just try to get through this round before we worry about game 5 of next round (Also assuming it's a 2-2-1-1-1 format after round two).

I am really curious about the Ashley injury. Mooseheads pretty mum on what is going on or timeline. I believe our "insider" NSCC seems to have some knowledge, but I hope he is wrong. It would be nice if the Mooseheads would publicly let the fans know about Ashley's situation. It would be huge to have him back ASAP.

Isn't every injury "personal" information? Why do you get to determine if it gets shared or not on this board? How do you know that this poster doeesn't know it to be true?

I just hope that wasn't Ashley's last game in his QMJHL career...

He is correct that injuries and medical conditions are personal and private information. If your health authourity inadvertantly leak medical history info it becomes a scandal. It seems to be a double standard in hockey and sport. The team actually have no right to discuss a players condition ... but they do. They actually have no right to even know a players condition ... unless the parents have signed off for minor aged players (under 18). We here are just discussing what the media releases ... that should not be a problem as it is in the public domain. But discussing something that has not been released to the public is an invasion of privacy ... especially if somebody has some inside information.

You guys are all pathetic. My information came from one of our Halifax reporters. If they feel it is ok to share with me, I think you can all relax on your privacy bullshit. These are not little kids we're dealing with, It's young adults who play a high level of hockey we pay to watch.

Just talking about the issue in general. But to your comment ... did the reporter make the info public domain or did it come from a private conversation ?

the 2-2-1-1-1 format against quebec teams wont apply here as thats only once we reach the semis. it wont matter whether we play rn or gat. it will be 2-3-2.

Stars on Ice would affect round 3 should we make it, which is why I said that. Next round is definitely 2-3-2.

These are not your average little kids. Drouin's got a lot more money then me right now. I have spent a lot of money on the Mooseheads this year and a lot of money on playoff tickets. I would like to know if I am going to see Ashley the rest of the playoffs.

Wouldn't you think the reason they are not saying anything about injuries is because Halifax does not want the other teams to know ! As far as "paying" fans having the right to know is bull-shit ! It is a business.

Fans don't need to know anything about player injuries. Is it nice to know, sure.....but at the end of the day, someone's personal health issues is just that, personal. Just because Darcy Ashley plays for the Halifax Mooseheads and was injured during a hockey game, doesn't mean fans have any right to know what the problem is.
And second to that, as was mentioned, you don't want your competition to know.....esp. in the playoffs.
