I think I remember reading one year that Leroux's predictions are always the kiss of death. Nonetheless, like I said on the main board I think this division is more up for grabs than people believe. CB has questions in goal, still pretty young on D and doesn't have quite as much depth up front as they did last season. I still have them finishing 1st and Moncton 2nd, but I'm basing a lot of that on CB making more moves during the trade deadline. Right now it's anyone's game and Charlottetown could just as easily finish 1st as CB or Moncton. I think Halifax could also be in the conversation. Moncton CB and Charlottetown are good but not great so another team could jump in the mix, even Bat or SJ if they take a leap forward with their young guys. Maybe it's just me, but I think Halifax is being highly overrated as being a team in the conversation. Great goalie and one great line if Ehlers comes back. Murphy, a couple slightly above average 20-year-olds and then a whole bunch of question marks on the back end. They won't be terrible by any means but I really don't see them being near the top. I see that a usually reputable Willy Palov ranked them the 5th best team in the league...how much extra pay did he get for that?

This years 8th round pick Matt Koopman has committed to Northeastern University That doesn't really change much, most top US players who come to the CHL were committed to an NCAA university before reporting. Garland Smith Murphy Askew all were... Funny/interesting thing I heard on the webcast Sunday is Shannon saying McInnis(Luke) and Krys are building blocks of the defense in the future...maybe it's just wishful thinking or he knows they will eventually report...just strange that they were mentioned and not Holwell...Tesink was also mentioned.

I heard that too ... but I took it to mean Holwell is here now so not really somebody to tag as 'future'. Tesink would be considered 'future' since he hasn't played a game yet and will be in and out of the lineup this year. Holwell is part of the 'now' ... on pace for 68 goals this year.

If he is saying that about mostly Krys and him being a longshot, stuff like that will wear thin pretty quick in Moncton. People see him as a good PR guy but don't want to be led down the road with BS.

I have no idea how you can support the team and do everything you can to shit on them at every turn. I'm all for having an honest discussion on all topics ... but to you everything is bad. I can't remember the last time you said "nice move" to anything about the Wildcats. Even when they win you'll pick at a negative instead of praising somebody's strong play. Weird !!

Steve you are blinded by all the positive BS spreaded by the Irving Press....nothing new there...
I will be staring at the Cats all year only because some of your Press already point to them as the Maritimes Champs and contender status.

I call a spade a spade. Until a guy actually shows up for camp, it's pretty hard to call that player a top prospect for your team. McInnis, that one seems reasonable, the guy showed up and player intersquad and left, Krys...no.

I don't see it ... we'll be in the upper half of the league but aren't as talented as CB ... and we don't have the assets to go big and get significantly better. Barbashev and Tkachev would have to put 3 to 4 goals per game combined for us to be a contender. They will both miss about 10 games for the WJC ... and no set date for their return from NHL camps. We are just average without them. Quebec will get better even though they had an ugly start ... but lots of pressure on them to win. I also think PEI will be a lot better than they have been rated ... very talented team ... but young talent. I don't see why there is so much love for Halifax though ... if they don't get Ehlers back ... they have no game breakers.

Yes ... you do call a spade a spade ... but you never praise anything ... you only want to talk about the bad. Is there nothing good at all about the Wildcats ? I'm just talking about your posting in general terms ... not just this. But you took this to be a negative even though you have nothing to go on ... nothing ... I had to even explain the comment to you ... but to you it must be bad for some bizarre reason.
