Looking through the list I like to check out where they are from ... check out the local and Atlantic Canadian kids ... and the US names maybe also. The abbreviations they use for their location are confusing: Qc is obvious NB is pretty clear also IPE is also easy to figure out They have TN and NL for Mewfoundland ... no problem figuring that out by why both ? They have NE for Nova Scotia (Nouvelle Ecosse) ... but there was also an NS in the list ... why both ? Then there were several kids attending US schools that were also noted as NE. I don't think all of them are from Nova Scotia but maybe they are ... or does NE also stand for New England ? US kids are not on the list. If it's NE and at a US school it's a NS kid at prep school in the US.

Seems really quiet here...lots of rumors on other teams and nothing about the WC...

Not bad. I actually liked Halabi on the 4th line, but he definitely had a problem with constantly taking dumb penalties.

Whitlock is another possibility, he is bigger and more skilled, had a strong year for Woodstock.

They actually traded Halabi for a 6th and a 12th. We can assume that the 12th will probably be an American. Great Return! If you ask me, Halabi wasn't even going to be on the team next year.

We actually have a logjam of bodies up front right now, so smart idea to flip a few depth guys for picks. Lalonde Barbashev Johnson Simpson Tkachev (hopefully) Pugsley Garland Smith Seeger Bower Olivier Jacob Cormier Leger Tibbo That is 15 right there, before current draft picks or FAs ... we also have 19 y/o's Whitlock, Bradley and Drover, all of whom I would think are longshots based on their age.

It'll be interesting to see if we deal both 2nd rounders to get a 1st round pick. [/quote] I don't like that kind of deal ... the draft is a crapshoot at best times ... I would rather have two shots in the top 28 or so than one pick in the 10-15 range ... the players drafted in the second round often turn out as good or better than most first round picks, and you are getting two rather than one. If you are going to trade up, you better be damned sure about the guy you are trading up to get.
