What do yo mean good luck? The Moose don't need any luck - they're going to kick some Pique ass! Indeed, this should be a good series and I expect it to go in six. My only wish is that both clubs stay injury free and no one gets hurt. Whoever comes out the victors will have earned it. There is also some incredible talent behind the benches, and this will be fun to watch as well. This is going be a fun time to be a fan. I've got the Moose taking this one 5-4 in an empty net - it's going to be this close all the way through. Gatineau going with the bold new strategy of pulling their goalie with a 4-4 tie. Lets hope this risky play doesn't pay off. I have seen that strategy used before. Not during the play-off though

Last season he publically blamed the fans for his team's sloppy play. I'm not sure how he resonates with fans in Hull; however, I suspect I speak for all in these parts when I suggest we have a huge degree of respect for Mr Groulx as a coach. He truly is one of the best in the League, as his record will attest. He does what he has to do to motivate, and he is good at it. However, I also believe we can more than match the Piques on the ice and behind the bench this year. This is going to be a good series, and the winner at the end will have to earn that position.

I seem to recall the 08-09 and 09-10 seasons where our playoff attendance was so great. Come to think of it, neither was the 10-11 season. Some non-Mooseheads fans seem to forget we have had a few lean years. I am curious why that can't enjoy the fact that of any team in the Atlantic Division, surely the Mooseheads deserve the last three years. When this run is over, I suspect you will see a lot of Moose fans hoping our club continues its winning ways, while secretly wishing good fortunae on PEI and Cape Breton. Obviously they are due, and I have a real soft spot for the Eagles (just don't tell them). Baie Comeau deserves it more than you do.....they are the ones who obtained the pick to draft the whiner who refused to play for them. Your last couple years will always be tainted because of a player who refused to report to his rightful team. Pure irony. These comments from a fan of the team with the only real tainted championship of the last 20 years. Very sad and pathetic on your part.

Benoit at his best: Publicly call out your best players for not performing. linkEdit: Let the bench boss games begin. He has a point... but as is usually the case in tight checking series's like this, the team that makes the least number of big mistakes probably wins. You can't expect your guys to never turn over a puck or take a penalty at all times, especially when you have dangerous and smart players like Ehlers and Drouin and Andrews and Gadoury etc running around out there. It was a close game, we made tons of mistakes too - I thought we played the puck waaaay too softly at times clearing the puck for example which led to lost of needless turnovers. The defense in particular need to pick up their urgency in their own end when moving the puck - I think they will know that heading into game 2. Both teams's players looked completely gassed at times (and Hardie/Andrews haven't really played in weeks). The game took 2 hours and 15 minutes in total, which shows how fast that game was moving and every shift was a battle. I found we were way too loose in the first period... the number of odd man chances we gave up in the first was too high. But as the game went on, Gatineau slowed down and we came on stronger and turned the momentum. It was as expected really - Gatineau are a fast, aggressive defensive team who have guys who can kill you at the top, whereas we aren't AS aggressive but have better high end talent to break games open. Fucale was a rock except for that 1 goal - was it tipped/redirected by the guy in front? That's what I thought happened, because it was only a hard shot along the ice that sort of fooled him like he was expecting the re-direct if it wasn't. Game 2 will be big. Gatineau will be happy with a split, but we would love to head off for 3 games leading 2-0. I hope we win the series as quickly as possible, and if we do, it will be a series that helps us in the long run as it will be testing the patience and grit of the team.

Your last couple years will always be tainted because of a player who refused to report to his rightful team. OK this is getting ridiculous. I hate throwing out the "trolling" accusation but this is pretty clearly it. In a Moosehead playoff game thread you are calling the local superstar a whiner and saying our championship is tainted - On the heels of arguing our coach hasn't proven anything, and downplaying a simple comment about attendance. And you did this last year too. Only you. Nobody else does this on this board, nobody. Every once in a while you just have to step back and enjoy a little chuckle, as I did when saw I had 8 notifications this morning. Stop taking everything so seriously...it's unhealthy. I really thought people would just smile at that post, and not take it as some big insult as it seems they have. ......and I never said your coach hasn't proved anything. you should take a lesson from a guy like Reesor, who is probably your best poster here....he smiled and moved on. :-)

He could say "Drouin is a good player" and if someone said "no he is not" he would reply "true, you have a good point" Seriously, your posts and motives in the last year or two are transparent and clearly bitter about the success the moose have had. You post this stuff, it gets the appropriate reaction, then you say you are just joking and that everyone else didn't get it. NOBODY buys it. So the more you post the stuff you do, the more you cement your reputation as a bitter shit disturber. Just avoid posting here if you can while we enjoy this playoff run. Or rather, if you must post as you seem to have to to, ask yourself before hitting submit button "Does it make sense that I criticize this, here and now?" Put yourself in our position. Pretend Bathurst have a great team and the fans are enjoying a playoff run. And I enter a game thread to point out you can't win without LG and his shady deals and how you guys didn't deserve your title. Everyone argues with me, the thread goes way off topic. Next game thread, I enter again, making more posts that get a reaction, thread goes off topic. Couple games later, I do this again... etc etc. This is you for the past 2 seasons. The more success we have, the more you post stuff that will clearly get a reaction. It's bitterness you are trying to mask behind smileys.

Reesor hates confrontation of any kind, that's why. He could say "Drouin is a good player" and if someone said "no he is not" he would reply "true, you have a good point" Yah you're probably right. I just figured Porky posted that for one of two reasons: To be funny, or to stir shit up and look for a reaction (or both). He got the reaction he wanted from 8 different posters. I found it hilarious, because it was so blatent with no sneaky undertone at all. I like to be assertive and prove my points on here. I also really try to see things from other people's point of view. Even if it's stupid.
