Should be a good game........if Gatineau can rein in the penalties and keep it 5 on 5, we could see a very tight game, won by just a goal or two. No even strength goals in game 1.

Should be a good one tonight. I had to give my tickets to my sister as I bought concert Tickets last year for a show tonight. I will be the annoying one refreshing twitter all night haha 6-3 moose I'd better not see a glow from a smart phone at Matt Anderson tonight. If I can't check the score neither can you. No promises

5-2 Moose. I wonder if they'll do another pre game ice video/show like last night. The only place I've witnessed better ones in person was at the Bell Centre.

Mooseheads make 1 change to lineup for Game 2. Maxine Fortier will replace Sam LeBlanc.

I don’t know what to expect from my team this evening. Asking for more discipline is unlikely (Dunn & Poirier have a season ticket in the box), so PK and PP have to come thru. Forget our PP, it’s been weak all season, so that leaves us with our PK which has to excel. Five on five hockey, I’m not worried about, that is our game. So, game recipe for a win:
1. Stay away from the box (unlikely) 2. PK has to excel (possible) 3. PP has to yield 1 or 2 more goals (good luck) 4. We need to produce while 5 on 5 (likely)
I’ll be watching on Telus (a.k.a. cheap-TV) hoping for an Olympic squeaker
A good evening to everyone!

People here are grossly under rating the mooseheads. 5-0 final score.

Steeves needs to reconsider his choice to play hockey.....Gatineau has everything but goaltending.

Gatineau looked like a fast, skilled, grinding team last night. Tonight they looked more like just a grinding team I thought. They certainly forget about guys defensively for a defensive team though, lots of goals and chances have been with guys in behind the defense.
Ehlers looked much better tonight, more like his old self. Gadoury is not just a goal scorer, he's working hard for that puck and has very good vision and hockey sense.
Happy to have those 2 wins heading for 3 in Gatineau.

So the talk Groulx had about his players in the media last night didn't propel them to victory. Gotta think they'll play better at home in game 3. I know this is cliche, but game 3 is their season.
Gadoury looks like he'll be a keeper as a 20 year old next season, or is at least making his case to be one of the Mooseheads 20 year olds for next year. What a find.
The Mooseheads stick to the game plan, stay disciplined, they will remain in good shape. Keep the foot on the gas pedal.

Not sure why Gatineau thinks they have a chance when playing in the penalty box.....they have a lot of unnecessary penalties like the slashing/roughing/high sticking/kneeing type.....5 on 5, the games have been good.

People here are grossly under rating the mooseheads. 5-0 final score. Agreed. At most I'd say Gatineau wins one (which I think would be very generous to predict), but the Moose should definitely be able to complete the sweep. This team should have no problem sticking to their game plan and playing strong in Gatineau.

Keep in mind, we beat them 7-0 and 5-0 last year at home... then won 4-2 and 5-3 in Gatineau. We were better then, and they were worse than they are now. I expect it to be much tougher up there.

I'm not one whos surprised we've won the first 2 games (I called Moose in 5 anyway)...but I am a bit surprised how we're controlling the games and winning in the fashion we are. Really impressive performance tonight. From start to finish, there wasn't any doubt who the better team was. Some beauty goals too. And we need to mention the D. Just quietly going about their business, shutting Gatineau down (although Reway's goal was downright nasty).
Does Gatineau always play that dumb? Holy, must be a frustrating team to be a fan of, at times. I honestly thought some of the calls were, meh, but others, just blatant stupidity. They're calling the games tight, yet Gat. keeps hammering away and going to the box. You know the penalty parade will be on for the Moose in Game 3, so be prepared.
As well as we've played so far, this series isn't over....so lets not get too cocky. As unlikely as I think it is for them to beat us 4 of the next 5 games, they're a different team at home, and like I said, officiating will be quite different up there. Moose have no problems playing in hostile environments, so I'm worried about it affecting us, BUT, expect a different Gatineau team.
I still say Moose in 5.

Averaging pretty much a goal a game. ;-)

I agree with everyone, were rolling too much this one's done in 4, 5 tops the Moose are on fire everyone is rolling were getting secondary scoring, Zach has been making the saves, the defence is doing their job. Were getting them to take penalties, I just hope that continues 19 PPGs in 6 games is insane. I think we can take it Game 3 will be tough but we can do it. I don't think we will be back at the Metro Center till round 3, but lets not get too far ahead of ourselves still some work to do. Steeves isn't exactly Mason MacDonald so we just need to keep firing, traffic and get the dirty goals. Also just curious on the rule of their goalie knocking the net off, I thought if the goalie knocked it off the goal still counted I'm sure that's how its happened in the NHL?
