The ghost was not here for round one. Yeah Stooy, the ghost was there in round one, but he didn't scare anyone. I do not expect him to scare anyone in round two either.

The ghost was not here for round one. How would you know, ghosts are invisable.

Would be interesting to see what would happen with more 5 on 5 play. That will be up to Gatineau, not the Mooseheads. Is that some kind of correction? lol I agree with you though.

I like the Bob - a throw back to "the Old Barn."
It was there I saw my first Q game. I was in Ottawa with nothing to do, read in the paper that Halifax was playing in Hull, so I crossed the river.
Some guy met me at the ticket booth and gave me a ticket. Aaagh, gee, OK, Thanks. Perfect seat: up about a dozen rows and centre ice.
All I really remember is a Halifax goalie who blew me away, and some guy who could fight like an SOB.
I believe Hull won the game, and what a game it was. Both teams had a few players go on to the show: Most will know the 1995-96 Moodeheads roster, but from Hull a few names come to mind (and I looked up the roster to confirm) Gordie Dwyer, Jose Theodore, Colin White, Peter Worrell, and the coach was ... Bob Mongrain.
The next year I had season tickets with the Moose and kept them for 11 years until work had me on the road so much I was only getting to 8-10 games per year.

Keep in mind, we beat them 7-0 and 5-0 last year at home... then won 4-2 and 5-3 in Gatineau. We were better then, and they were worse than they are now. I expect it to be much tougher up there. Last year the second line did more damage than the first during Gatineau games. With last change the first line will be checked and shadowed more there. Expect changing on the fly and splitting up/double shifting the 1st line as tactics. Of course if the trend continues where most goals are scored by Moose power play the match ups wont matter. Hopefully the top line of the Moose can turn the other cheek as they should know what is coming. Overall the Moose were better last year but the D is about the same and the PP is actually better, with a road game to test it more.

I have a feeling it's unlikely, but it'd be nice if Ashley came back while the series is in Gatineau. That way we could keep Drouin and Ehlers apart. Dom hasn't been playing them together all the time, but be nice to have our full top 6, so if we're down a goal late or something, he wouldn't feel so obligated to put those two together for a goal.
I've liked the Ryan - Drouin - Gadoury line. Wonder if Dom would try throwing Ashley with Andrews an Ehlers, when/if he comes back.

I can't direct link it on here. But highlights of every goal from the first two games can be found at the bottom of the link below: thechronicleherald.ca/mooseheadsLove how Drouin took out the whole team after Weegar's goal. Maybe that's why he doesn't celebrate sometimes. Nice pass by Andrews to Shewfelt on his goal.

How did Fortier look and how much did he play? He was on the fourth line so most of his shifts where with C Moynihan and Vuic. I think they might have had 4 or 5 shifts in the first two periods and a few more in the third when the game was decided. The line looked fine and created some chances. He did not wow me but he did his job and definitely has the wheels. About what I expected

The Bob is incredible, but sadly its days are numbered. After this season, if construction goes on schedule, we have less than two seasons left to enjoy it.

How did Fortier look and how much did he play? I thought Fortier only had about 3 shifts, but if he was on with Vuic I was to busy watching if Vuic would go after anyone. Fortier looked really small to me. He had one little bit of action where he had the puck, but not enough time to really gauge him at all imo.

So far the Mooseheads PP in the playoffs is at 19 for 42 for a 45.24%.

So far the Mooseheads PP in the playoffs is at 19 for 42 for a 45.24%. I mentioned it before, but the good powerplay allows us to lock it down 5 on 5 and not take as many chances. If our powerplay was struggling, we'd have to open the game up a bit more, which we have the talent to do. But it would help Gatineau as well. If we keep doing what we're doing, Gatineau will eventually be forced to take more chances. And that helps us. At some point they'll have to stop being happy with "just hanging in there" against us 5 on 5.
