I'm going with Halifax in 4. Recent History suggest the Mooseheads have the Foreur's number. 2013-2014 - October 18- Val-D'or 2 Halifax 5November 2 - Halifax 4 Val-D'or 2 2012-2013- November 18 - Val-D'or 3 Halifax 4March 2 - Halifax 4 Val-D'or 2 2011-2012- October 28 - Halifax 3 Val-D'or 2 October 29 - Halifax 5 Val-D'or 2 November 6 - Val-D'or 3 Halifax 6
2010-2011- November 20 - Val-D'or 4 Halifax 2 December 3 - Halifax 4 Val-D'or 3 February 19 - Val-D'or 2 Halifax 1 So Val-D'or owns it last victory over Halifax Feb 19, 2011. The other notable thing, in Mantha's 57 goal MVP campaign, here are his goals against any given team. Baie-Commeau - 1 Bathurst - 4 BLB Armada - 6 Cape Breton - 3 Charlettown - 2 Chicoutimi - 5 Drummondville- 5 Gatineau - 6 Halifax - 0Moncton - 1 Quebec - 6 Rimouski - 2 Rouyan - 3 Shawinigan - 4 Sherebrooke - 8 Saint John - 1 Victoriaville- 1 Halifax is the only team this season to successfully hold Anthony Mantha from scoring a goal this season. Pretty impressive. How the fuck does regular season series last year, the year before or even worse 3 seasons ago matter? Just saying. They haven't matched up well against us in a long time.

But how does that matter to this season? It's ridiculous, everything is different. And measuring goals against for Mantha is extremely skewed. Halifax played them twice. Other teams played them more than twice. Past regular seasons in Junior to this season is like comparing Apples to Cars. Sure they are both things, but that is it. The Mantha goal comparison is apples to oranges. Closer, but still overly flawed.

This is the start of the real playoffs, Val Dor...too much for the Moose and do not take stupid penalties...the herd gets euthanized in 6.

Funny how this Mooseheads teams get no respect from other teams fans. I guess we got here with smoke and mirrors. Our skill counts for nothing. Fucale counts for nothing. Solid D counts for nothing. The experience of last year counts for nothing. And home ice advantage counts for nothing. We are doomed.

But I'm still going with my gut that its Hali in 4. The games in the previous seasons are a bit of an indicator of how the building is, some buildings are tougher to win in than others, I think the fact that the Mooseheads haven't lost in the Air Creebec center is a positive sign for us. On the other hand, the Foreur do have trouble winning in the Metro Center.

It is the year of the Drakkar... you're right. It's their championship to lose. It's funny perusing the french boards and seeing that more people are picking the Moose to win against Val d'Or than were picking the Moose to win against Gatineau. They don't seem to take one stat about even strength goals over a span of a five game series and make it their sole argument against Halifax winning the next series. That's the unfortunate part of playing in that weak division. Just call us the underdogs.

Other than Ashley, they're healthy; hopefully he's ready to go. Darcy will be good to go Friday night. I will take the Moose in 5!

Hop on guys, it's gonna be a fun ride! And since we're bringing up shit that doesn't matter I'll leave this here. Mantha had 2 more goals than Drouin at the World Juniors while not getting any penalty minutes. Drouin had 24 penalty minutes. Mantha can fight though(apparently) so if Drouin wants to run around laying out cheap hits, it won't be long before he's taken care of

I was crazy enough to pay for Telus feed yesterday.
What impressed the most about Vald'Or were their secondary player coming on stream: 1-Aube-Kubel had a fantastic game yesterday. 2- Anthony Richard and Mikael Beauregard were very strong; that line was probably the best line of both teams and...they are responsible defensively. That line was +2 for the game. 3- Pietroniro was converted to forward, plays 3rd-4th line and brings depth to their forward playing with Poudrier. 4- I see people here mentioning Graves on defense, but I would add to that Fraser who is kind of a physical agitator who is playing his best hockey for the Foreurs.
Nevertheless I had to pick the Moose in 7, but I can see a couple of upsets for VD here.
This is gonna be a very interesting matchup.

No surprise that we have the top 4 teams in the standings for the regular season in the final 4..such is Q hockey........This is where the interesting series, finally take place.......Both series are really hard to pick for me....we have 4 teams that were within 2 wins of each other for the season, within 5 points of each other, and basically 4 teams that played .700 hockey.
