Moose don't look sharp to this point, VD with most of the great scoring chances. Last couple shifts we looked better, I hope it carries on. So far we look like we are playing like we expect to win. VD like to sneak in behind the D alot.

Haven't seen the Mooseheads look like this at home in a while. Fucale's penalty shot save you hope becomes a turning point in a positive way, and they pick up their play.

Yeah I've counted at least four breakaways because VD have snuck in behind. Murphy and Weegar don't look great tonight IMO.

Their defensive coverage has been brutal.

The good news is, VD couldn't have asked for a better start - they are playing well while we are fairly sluggish - but we can still win this game. Time to apply the pressure in the third.

And this is why I said a sweep was being rose colored. Not saying you predicted a sweep - just quoting since your post was last. :-)

Ugh... to a man, the defense have made some brutal errors. Lots of guys, forwards and D, didn't play with much urgency when they had to. Not a good game for us.

Well... the last 10 minutes they played urgently and dominated. Lets hope that carries over to game 2. Strange game by the moose, nobody looked themselves for the most part.

Unfortunately the team now puts themselves in an important game tomorrow. Hopefully they settle in a little more, tonight was really strange.
Not that Val d'Or isn't a solid team, but the Moose can be better.

Looking forward to all the Ciampini haters on here to talk about Andrew Ryan and Brent Andrews play recently.

I'll admit, I under estamated Val d'Or. But I'm not quite buying what they're selling the mooseheads played atrocious hockey until the final 10 minutes of the third. I expect a lot better of an effort tomorrow of this will be an extremely quick series.
Gadoury's(sp?) save though holy shit.

I said the Foreurs in 6...but this could be a sweep. They are much more talented than the Moose.

Well in defence of Andrews and Ryan, they were out with injuries and it may take a while to get back on their game, hopefully we'll see them play "their" game tomorrow night. All the Moose players seemed to be trying too hard and creating too many turnovers. Hopefully, Dom can get them back on their game tomorrow night.
