It's too bad Ciampini disappeared again. Hopefully he's back down on the bottom two lines where he proved all season he belongs.

Stone cold thing to say. lol Sadly, It's not untrue. Ciampini was being Ciampini. If he only would give 110% every shift. He shouldn't be on the first line though, can't keep up with Drouin and Gadoury. I don't dislike Ciampini, but he can be frustrating to watch at times. Man I hope the Mooseheads put it together tonight. I don't feel like being disappointed again, I got the Flyers to help me with that.

I think the mooseheads will win tonight. But if they don't. It's going to be a very strange, quiet atmosphere in the Metro Centre tonight...

Well obviously VD is a very good team, is the best team they've played in the playoffs so far, so Halifax not being able to do to them what they did to PEI and Gatineau is understandable. The play in the first period last night was fairly even, despite Halifax being down 2-1. An in the 3rd period, Halifax carried the play. They were able to set up Drouin for a number one-timers from the slot on the 5on3 PP in the 3rd, Drouin just didn't get everything on the shots. Give him those chances again and I'm sure he buries one of them. But for the first 2/3's of the 2nd period, Halifax couldn't do anything right. They couldn't get out of their own end, and if they did get it out, they couldn't get it in VD's end. Bad decisions where to pass the puck, and just bad physical passes killed them. Tonight, I expect Halifax to start the game with their 'regular' top 3 lines. I'd also guess that Bailey will sub in for Lovell. Lovell struggled last night and I'm not sure he played after VD's 2nd goal when Lovell lost his man in front of the net. Yea I thought both Lovell and Lussier struggled last night. The tempo and intensity of the game got to them imo. I think Lovell played 1, maybe 2, shifts after that 2nd VD goal, which he not only caused the turnover, but you're right, he then lost Aube-Kubel in the slot and bam, 2-1. I don't think Dom played Lovell and Lussier together at all beyond the half way point of the 1st. I think that was the right call. We need 1 of Weegar, Hardie, Murphy or Duke on the ice at all times at this stage. I'm sure there will be a few times he can get the 2 of them out together, but they were exposed a bit last night. No shame in that. They're depth 5-6 guys against the best offensive team in the league. Benches get shortened this time of year. Overall I wouldn't say the Moose played HORRIBLE. We had some good offensive zone time, created some chances and skated ok, controlled the game for stretches. Just have to be more mentally sharp and intense then we have needed to be at any point this year. They're a veteran club, they realize this, and we'll see a better executed game plan tonight. People saying "oh it's gonna be a short series" and "tonight is a must win or it's over". It was one game. Takes 4 to win a series. And thought I should mention, I'm able to confirm that Pens23 was/is in fact NOT trolling Moosetalk. I had my doubts, but had the chance to shake hands, look him in the eye last night, and hear him say he is indeed a Foreurs fan. Wildcats #1, Foreurs #2. So I think that should be put to bed. I felt dirty afterwards tho.....I mean, I gave a Wildcats fan enough respect to shake hands with them?? *shudders*. lol jk was nice to meet you man.

Bold to go with the red jerseys tonight even bolder than red is adding Caven Fitzgerald to the lineup.

Fucale's worst outing. I'm sure he'll bounce back. We'll need him down the road.
We dominated Val d'Or after the 3-0 goal. Stupid penalty by Ashley to end the period. We had the momentum.

I didn't see the first goal but read it was a soft one from the point... but the 2nd goal was a point shot into a screen that was tipped, and the 2nd was a pretty nice give and goal with Gazolla firing from the hash marks. Those last 2 are nice goals. I would hope Fucale is back for the 2nd... he's still waaaay better than Darveau the rest of the way.

I hope the Moose keep their composure and stop with the stick fouls...I would hate to see one of The Foreurs stars get injured by dirty play.
