Without looking the names up, which 2 are American? Shit, totally forgot about that rule... Very few Americans on any of the rankings. The Americans are almost impossible to guess unless you have an inside or actually seen them play or know their intentions. They are listed in either the Americans section or the players added by teams so unless you know their skill level and whether they will report there is no real way to guess who will go where unlike the q players where the list on the q site gives a general idea.

What is the story with American D Hanifin. He is ranked high in next years NHL draft. Did somebody draft him last year? Rumours about him going to the Remparts. If he is not taken, I can't see a reason why someone wouldn't use a "late" pick on him or really gamble and go with an early pick.
Edit: Didn't realize Quebec took him in the 2nd round last year. That one could really pay off for them.

Louis Leblanc was committed too...until his NHL team told him to pack his bags and play in the CHL. I think anything is possible.

Could Andrew Ryan garner a 1st round draft pick. How is Charlottetown doing for 20's? Looking at their 3 first rounders. Hmmmm. How about one of Gatineau's pick's...we would probably have to include a pick. Too bad we couldn't move up for Fitzpatrick.

Plus this off-season they've acquired Johnston and MacKinnon and also have guys like Cortese, Cobbold, etc who are all 20's. Not sure if, and probably not likely, they will take on any more 20 yr olds.

The draft sure is gonna be interesting I personally think Groulx is gonna get away with not having to give up Karabacek to the Islanders. I aslo think Sonier is done dealing. But time will tell.

Looking at Halifax's line up I can't imagine not speeding up the rebuild with the assets you have? Maybe you will wait and see at mid season but why not now? The smart thing would Championship type team will be that much quicker to come together.

Something interesting happened this weekend that went some what un noticed. Mike O'leary has sign a letter of commitment to Cornell this weekend. I wonder if this is smoke and mirrors to end up with a team he wants instead of any old team. He probably would have been a top 10 pick if he didn't sign. I'm willing to say he still gets picked but maybe in the 4 or 5 round though.

You would get a 1st for Gadoury......I doubt Ryan brings one though. 2nd or 3rd at best. There are a bunch of 20s that should be available this year, so the prices might actually be lower than usual in the Q MemCup year.
