Brassard pretty much got himself out of Quebec with his comments after Quebec lost to Rouyn. I like him as a goaltender but I've never likes how he acts off the ice. I would like him to prove he can lead Quebec to victory but like I said, his comments were taken really badly by the coaching staff. FYI, he said after Quebec had lost in 5 against Rouyn that he had played great and that he was happy with how he played. What did he say? Edit. I see your FYI, but why would that punch his ticket out of town? Because he wasn't that good and Quebec had an early exit? Which kind of teammate says he did play well and that it wasn't his fault they lost? Saying he played great is like saying others played bad since they lost.

You run a kid out of town for saying he felt he played well? Some of you need to realize these are still kids and young coaches that we are dealing with a lot of the time. People make mistakes before they have experience in almost every field there is and hockey is no different. You always seem to be trying to create drama around your team when there is none.

I didn't say I would run him out of town. I even said I would like him to lead the team to a win.
However, it is a fact that it wasn't taken well in Quebec and Boucher commented on it in his end of season press conference. If he was Quebec's man, there wouldn't be so much rumours about him getting shipped away.
I don't like the idea of trading for Auger.

Mr Bauer, The fact of what sc74 mentions about a teamate saying he played well and was happy with his game, after his team is eliminated in the playoffs and he Brassard is supposed to be your #1 goalie does not even play the final game, were the team is eliminated the Quebec coach puts the rookie Booth in the final game makes me ask questions. The fact that Brassard has never been very strong in the playoffs with the teams he has had in front of him in Quebec and the fact that the Ottawa Senators have decided not to award him with a contract makes you wonder if this is the right direction to take.

I hear Brassard from the Remparts is destined to Cape Breton, Darcy is probably part of the deal I assume Quebec adds

Just a guess on Darcy

I'd rather keep Darcy and have Fortin the starter for at least a month or so into the season. I don't think Fortins' that bad and Darcy will probably be as good a scorer next year too.

Still puzzled by why at this stage we need a 20 year old goaltender, this really baffles me. The same thing happened last year by bringing in Legace, causing us to lose a good 20 year old forward (Michael Clarke). I really think Dumont has done a very commendable job since he arrived here, but i am really exasperated by his handling of the goaltenders.

Bottom line we need a goaltender to compete.Fortin is not it. If he plans on running deep next year, brassard is the cheapest option. Fucale would cost a boat load. The draft will be very interesting.

Yes heard that with Brassard , a Quebec web site has a three way trade with Quebec, drummondville and the eagles involving a bunch of players. They said one or two young defenseman, going to drummondville, Darcy to Quebec and Brassard and another forward coming our way. Can't see it, no need to get a 20 year old goalie, also who are you moving, Leveille, Lalonde or Bell? This team according to Coach Dumont is going for it the following year, find a young goalie, maybe draft one and you would have to give a lot of ice to those three defense. Anyway like the thread says, rumors.
