MacIntyre is a great pickup. He's a guy a lot of us wanted to see here from day one. He certainly helps out the top 4.

Safe to say Gauthier's stock as fallen from 3rd selection overall
5 LH shooting D men my guess is Baillargeon will be the odd man out.
Our D needed to get better. I am happy with the deal.
We added to our strong group of 96's at the expense of our weak group of 95's.
Potential 20's for next year? I am not seeing any .

^Edit: Exact lines I thought we'd see, you beat me to it What's the lineup shaping up to be? Seem to have some high quality 18 and 17 year old defencemen now. Well the 3rd/4th lines are tough to predict but the top 2 lines will include: Lazarev Bishop Svechnikov Legare Farrell Pelletier Leveille MacIntyre Deschamps Bell Shows how deep the D is. I believe Lalonde may have the highest upside and he isnt even listed in your top 4.

Definitely like the look of the D for this year and the next. Leveille - MacIntyre? (not sure what pair he played on in QC) Bell - Deschamps Lalonde - Nosella/Beaudin? Very deep at the moment.

Duncan MacIntyre to Cape Breton for Guillaume Gauthier and a 2nd pick 2015. High price to pay for MacIntyre but could end up as a great deal. Gauthier never worked out right from the start here and moving him now before a poor 1st half if he is shuffled around makes some sense. We need more 18/19yr olds and MacIntyre helps that and is a defenceman that can play with the current core while giving the youth time to develop. The disappointing camp of others probably emphasized the need for another veteran on the back end and now our blueline is extremely deep when you look beyond this season. Quebec needed offensive depth and right handed forwards. With the 2nd pick they even got Burke. I'm sad to see D-Mac go but Boucher did a good job today.

Great trade for both teams in my opinion. Even before camp most figured we need to add a veteran D to make up for Hache not returning.
Gauthier does have skills. He has good hands but other then that I did not find him that special. Guy is small , bad at hitting , and seems lazy. He also takes his fair share of stupid penalties. Just looking at yesterdays exhibtion it seemed he lacked chemistry with his linemates. Only exhibtion , I know but he just did not seem like he worked that well with others. All that and adding in the point that we do not know where he would fit in anyways.

Maxime Balegieron has been released. Samuel L'Italien will be sent to his midget club after he returns from Russia. Macintyre not making the trip to Russia as he couldn't get a visa in time.

Did that O'leary kid even report to camp? Isn't there a rule where you can go to a Q camp and still retain NCAA eligibility as long as your not there for mor than 48 hrs? Don't remember seeing his name
