Can't find a really reputable link yet, but multiple sources saying Lovell to Chicoutimi for a 6th round pick in 2015. Edit: Jeremy Fraser linked it in an article. So there was one reputable link. I hope this is us finding Lovell a place to play. We have a lot of young D in the mix this year, and there's no sense in Lovell sitting on the bench anymore.

I am pretty satisfied with this. Lovell was not a fit with us this season, and I'm glad he found a place. Chicoutimi is a great opportunity for him, he has experience being on a team with high expectations, he will have a great opportunity to stay in the Sags lineup and help them try to win the league.

49th overall pick was where Lovell was taken, and he showed early promise, but didn't pan out that well with Halifax. Kind of surprised a 6th was the highest Russell could get for him though, as he's still 19, and a solid 4-5 dman.

Thus it is still a risk trade for the team getting him and what he brings. I would not pay more considering only wanting to go to certain team. thechronicleherald.ca/mooseheads/1227792-mooseheads-trade-brian-lovell-to-sagueneens

Unfortunate situation, as he always seemed to be just on the cusp of cracking the line-up full-time. Injuries and inconsistency wreaked havoc. Loved his physicality and versatility, however it just didn't seem to work out.
Hope he does well in Chicoutimi.
If anything, it makes training camp all the more interesting, as there are more jobs open on the point, and still plenty of youngsters champing at the bit.

Don't nobody care about battles for the 7th defenseman in August. The players fighting for those spots probably care quite a bit...and some fans do too. Quite a lot of promising young players were a 7th d or extra forward to start their careers in junior. For a contender you're probably right as the 7th D slot is likely some 19 year old proven guy brought in as an insurance policy in case one of the top 6 gets hurt. On a rebuilding team though that 7th D slot can often be a promising young player that the team and fans hopes develops into something special for future years. Just because you don't care doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way as you.

Started out as a number 7 sat in the press box at times, but by the end of the Season was a important guy for the Mooseheads. I don't understand Guru if u are so bored by the Mooseheads why you are visiting this site in August.

I don't care where Picard started, watching Q exhibition in August is pointless. You were able to watch Picard all season long, why was it exciting to you to watch him play against scrubs in August?

Instead of people always being told by you what is and is not supposed to interest them, could you just make up a list of things you feel everyone should care, and not care, about so we can all reference it when needed? Everyone is wasting so much time being interested in things they should not be. Maybe mods could sticky it, for easy reference before a post is written?
