I know it's a small sample size but do you think Dachyshyn will make it this year or be given another year in midget to build confidence? Something like the moose did with Fortier last year. I think Crossley is a lock but I have a feeling Dachyshyn might go back to the Mac's and maybe get a call up around Christmas time. Often young guys are sent back because they are not physically ready. From the two outings I have seen Dachyshyn, IMO being physically ready is not an issue.

Is there a potential backup or 2 shaping up or is it looking like another late pick trade brewing. Will need a couple for Xmas temporary or perhaps long term.

I was just wondering how Argento was looking in the first few intrasquad games. I think he may be a dark horse to stick with the moose this year. Just wondering what everyone else thinks

Impressed with American Kevin Resop so far. Big kid with quick reflexes. Looks like he was at practice this morning, so Moose may have committed to him last night. Martin looking good as well, but pretty small.

Here's how I see it shaking down after a couple days:
Guarantees up front (10) Ehlers Meier Falkenham C. Moynihan D. Moynihan Shewfelt Vuic Gadoury Fortier Crossley
Bubble guys - 2 or 3 of: Leblanc, Watt, Dachysyn, Vokey, King, Blain-Dupuis
Guarantees on D (5) Lussier Murphy Hardie Ford Taillefer
Bubble guys - 2 of: Jacques, C. Fitzgerald, Worthen, Argento, Nauss

I would think there would be 14 forwards so of those "bubble" guys probably 4 of them make it.
Defence might be 8 depending how many players they want to carry.

Unlike the Patenaude days of carrying 5 in the Press Box, Cam seems to stay around 22-23. I like that #, keeping some possible callups playing regularly somewhere else.

Last year I think they had 15 F and 8 D generally through the year.

Last year I think they had 15 F and 8 D generally through the year. In the playoffs they carried 9 D but in the regular season they only had 7. They started with 8 but they had 2 20s. Once They went with Duke they only had 7. But guys like Cavan and Worthen got called up when players went down. The forward side they started with 15 but Dracy was on the DL for a few weeks. When he came back he basically trade places with Falkinham who was gone for the season. Then you Had Drouin come back and no one was dropped. Then we added Vuic and Gadoury and the only guy moved then was Alcalde. So that time we had 15 still. Then we brought up Fortier in the playoffs for 16. If however your counting Falkinham we had 16 at year end and 17 for playoffs. This year I only see them carrying 2 extra forwards and 1 extra D. Last year the roster was so out of wack because the injury bug just never left the team. It very well can happen again but I don't see it happing like it did last year. Plus the NHL camps made the opening day roster a little wonkie too. Weegar was gone the first week and You know the Drouin story. Plus Fucale was gone the first week as well which he might be gone even longer this year. As crazy as this sounds we might carry 3 goals this year. Fucale might be gone the mont of September and December. Who know after December too.

I know Dom or Cam haven't said it but I doubt Fucale is going anywhere. Also curious how Falkenham has looked in the intersquad after an entire year off? or will we gage better after tomorrow night's game. (I like the fact that both Ford and Fortier look to be on the team, they seem to have played together for a few years in midget)
Also anyone know if there is intersquad from 4-6 next week or do they just do that the first week of training camp?

Let's just hope your wrong on the Fucale front. It makes no logical, Major Junior sense to not trade him. First, we have had a great run with Fucale but it is time to develop another goalie. Keeping him means playing him...alot, which begs the question of what happens next year in the pipes. Second, he is the only real high end piece of the last 3 years that could bring us decent value (likely a couple of 1sts). We have to take some lumps (not as big as in the past) and re-tool. We simply are not set up to win anything this year, and would take spending assets to try and compete in a year the Q sends 2 to teh Memorial Cup.

Just read its 8-4 now......not at the game... Who is committing the defensive breakdowns there today? Defensive liabilities or goalie mistakes? Or is the offensive just that good....lol
