I borrowed the idea for this game from HF boards. How it works is pretty simple: It's an all-time fantasy draft of all the Mooseheads import players. I've put on this list 13 names to vote from, vote for who you think is the best player on that list, when the poll expires (which will be after Saturday the 6th,), the player with the most votes will be the #1 overall pick.
After the first pick is decided, that player's name will be removed from the list and another player's name added to the list, and a new poll to decide the #2 overall pick will be held. The game ends when we rank each of the 20 import players to play for the Mooseheads from 1 to 20. (Or it ends when there's no interest and people stop voting, hopefully the former.)
This is more of a test run to see if the idea flys at all, keeping it to specifically import players limits the pool and scope of this thing.
Current Rankings -
#1 - ??
Edit- I've hidden the results until it expires so its not as easy to have your vote influenced by who's already voted.

Are we voting for the Euro that was the greatest as a Moosehead or simply the "best player" from that list? And to take it a step further, does someone who played 3 years of really good hockey for Halifax get weighted over someone who played two years of fantastic hockey?

Good questions.
To me it's meant to be the player that meant the most to the franchise during their time here, as a Moosehead.
As for the second part, I think that's what makes it interesting. It's totally up to the voter; we have guys like Konrad Abeltshauser who played 4 years of really solid hockey here, weigh that against Jakub Voracek who was the face of our franchise for 2 years, or Ladislav Nagy who had by far the most goals by a Moose in a single season.
Vote for what you think is more meaningful, and we'll see who agrees or disagrees with you.

This might be a season too soon. If Ehlers puts up points like he did last year he can become the all time scorer for Euros (in Halifax).

This might be a season too soon. If Ehlers puts up points like he did last year he can become the all time scorer for Euros (in Halifax). I would be surprised if Ehlers put up those numbers again this season (He likely isn't playing as many games) Also a weaker team probably drops those points a bit. I still expect him to have good numbers just not the same level. Not many players can give you goals on a plate like Drouin did at times. Interesting what line he might be on too and who ends up playmaking. Is there even really anyone who plays that type of game on the Moose? Ehlers-Fortier-Gadoury would make a great line but all seem snipers rather than one being a playmaker.
