Hope Tkachev didn't get hurt. He didn't come out for the third period after getting hit against the boards in the second. Hopefully they were just being cautious before he goes to camp.

What happened to Barbashev? How did the new d-man look? Barbashev caught Juraj with his head down and got a 5 for hitting his head. The new D-man looked good from my perspective. I was expecting less. He played with Klebanski and looked better than him especially at the start of the game. Tkachev got plastered in the boards by Dumoulong and I was disappointed that nobody went after Dumoulong after that. I guess it's open season on Tkachev. And yes, he didn't play in the 3rd period. Hopefully it's just precaution. He did play a bit after the hit.

He looked solid. I think he was screened on the first goal and Tkachev sniped the side. The second was a scrum in front of the net. He looked comfortable on the shootout, Lalonde just had a hard high shot on his left.

He could potentially take over from Brennan at Christmas if there is a taker for Brennan; this is all rumors for now.... I hope the Titan found a solid netminder there.

I can see why the Wildcats like having a pre-season game in Bouctouche. Beautiful facility. Wireless could use a bit of work, but that's just minor stuff. End result aside, I quite enjoyed myself.
