I didn't even realize The Score was still a thing.
Edit: I hope this is Mackinnon posting a thread about himself.

High praise for sure. Scary to think he just turned 19. I love watching him play as even the non-scoring stuff you see from him with his speed and power is fun to watch. He does everything at such a high speed (which was at times a fault of his game early in junior and again at NHL when he overcomplicated chances). If Drouin is NHL ready as we think he probably is, it will be a fun year in the NHL for Moose fans seeing these guys on highlight reels.

Bulked up during the summer- Avs website has him at 195 pounds. And talk is he is may be even more explosive which is scary as his speed and time to get to full speed was already elite.

Certainly a good commercial as Hamelin wins just for the fact many probably dont know him as well, gets his name out there. I could see Mackinnon as a long track speed skater if trained. Certainly could not compete with Hamelin in real competition as he is too big to make a lap. olympic.ca/team-canada/charles-hamelin/

Nate is tied for the Colorado scoring lead. Pretty impressive for a 19yo.

Mackinnon distinguished himself as 'The Invisible Man' in the Leaf game last night.....

Mackinnon distinguished himself as 'The Invisible Man' in the Leaf game last night..... That line Roy had with him and Tanguay/Briere didn't click at all. If I am not mistaken, MacKinnon was clicking with guys like McGinn, O'Reilly and Landeskog last year. Roy has the lines all messed up right now trying to find a good spot for Iginla.

Tanguay looked brutal. Can't believe they're giving him as much ice time as they are.

Losing Stastny and Parentau has really thrown off their line combos and chemistry. Now they are relying on aging vets like Tanguay and Iginla to step up and fill those roles, and Tanguay especially has been awful.
I actually expected a big step back from the Avs this year. They played way over their head last year and Varlamov held the fort while being shelled every night. They were a more successful Maple Leafs, relying on their goaltender to keep them in games. They could stand to add a veteran top 4 D with experience.
MacKinnon will undoubtedly suffer a bit from more attention and less space to wheel.

One thing MacKinnon did that might hurt him this year is adding 12-13lbs...seems like too much in one off season, especially for a guy that doesn't have a huge frame(5'11") to begin with. His game is all about speed and quickness, not strength and physicality. I'm always weary of a hockey player adding more than 4-5 lbs in one off season...
