Cobham with a hit from behind and Brunelle taking exception as a scuffle in sues. Mason Gray drops the mits and boy he can sure chuck em. Things getting pretty chippy now sets the tone for what could be a rough 3rd period.

Bell fell which is the only reason he got hit, so not really a hit from behind and brunelle should be called superman after that leap at cobham from behind

Cats get on the board and make it 4-1 on a goal from Will Smith.

Lazarev makes it 5-1 on a double minor pp. Some sloppy defense by Moncton.

Jason Bell looks like he's much taller than last season.

I thought the stream was good but the Moncton play by play guys were terrible . I tried selecting the "away" feed but it was the same feed as the home. I thought the away feed would have been the play by play from the Eagle. Any ideas?

I was really impressed with Dubois, Svechnikov, Leveille and Legare's games last night.
Its a good problem to have them Dubois is going to be playing against weaker 3rd line competition when all the boys are back from pro camps.

I thought the away feed would have been the play by play from the Eagle. Any ideas? What I did was turned the volume down on my computer and went to my iPad and went on the app called TuneIn radio. I put on the eagles and what I did was because the eagles play by play guy was ahead of the stream, I paused the radio and waited until the stream got to where I paused the radio.

Not a bad game last night at all for the season opener in September.
I was impressed by the whole team really. The team did not let up.
Svechnikov and Dubois have instantly lived up to their hype while Farrell and Legere were in overdrive.
If Darcy comes back there will be one tough decision on who gets cut.
The D was not bad either. Deschamps is just what they need to avert the absence of Hache.
Sullivan seemed like a bit of an adventure in net but the guy got the job done and has decent stats and the W to show for it. Not even trying to nitpick just telling it how it is.
Gray can really chuck em. Nice that they have two enforcers. One of these guys will likely be scratched once Pelletier and Bishop return though.
Moncton lost their composure and focus once they got behind but that is expected in junior hockey. Especially on the home opener.
My other thoughts would be that the league is watered down in September with NHL rookie camps. Both teams were missing key guys but I would say that equaled out for both teams.
The refs took a few eons to sort issues out such as the melee in the second and the Tibbo guy that was playing even though he was already ejected.
The stream is good and much better than the Telus one. In big games on the road I could see myself buying the game. I had little problem with the Moncton announcers. When it comes to junior hockey radio coverage my standards are not too high.

A player I thought played well , other than the obvious ones , was Dillon Boucher. Hard worker , played physical and in all three zones. Looked good , especially for a 17 year old rookie.
