The Mooseheads try to bounce back after losing their regular season opening game last night in Acadie-Bathurst. Lussier is out indefinitely with a wrist injury according to the Mooseheads twitter page, and Hardie is day-day with a lower body injury. The defence corps will be very inexperienced as they will be thrown into the fire.
This is obvious, but goal scoring will be an issue, at least until/if Ehlers is sent back from Winnipeg Jets camp. I think he will be sent back, but you never know.
Resop will want to rebound after a shaky game last night; nerves probably affected a lot of the young newcomers.

We didn't look good last night but got the win. We are missing tons of players also but I'm gonna say a 6-2 win for the Isles.

Our 'd' has a total of 14 games experience, haha. Might be the Sprong show tonight.

This lineup is a last overall type lineup right now. A couple OK offensive players, and basically all 3/4th liners with 6/7 defensemen. We may not win a game for a few weeks honestly if it takes that long to get some of the key guys back. This is not a lineup that should be expected to beat anyone right now.

We are missing a number of guys as well. MacKinnon, Johnston, Goulet, Cooper, McDonald are at pro camps. Kennedy is out with an injury.
For us, we benefit from having some strong offensive from Sprong and Chlapik. Plus Kielly played very well last night.
For us, goaltending is under the microscope. Out backup is a local invite, Daryl MacCallum. He was very sharp last night but was hot and cold in preseason. I feel how he plays will dictate the outcome tonight.

Moose twitter says Lussier has a broken wrist. Not good. I just don't see the Mooseheads being good this year. I wouldn't be surprised if we finished in the lower third of the standings. It will be quite a development year this year. Looking forward to next weekend though. It is fun to see the younger guys develop.

The islanders current lineup is better than what the titan iced last night, I'll go out on a limb and say.
Islanders should win this game for sure.

Tough break with Lussier. No other choice then to throw the rooks into the fire now. Hope for the best. I like that Nauss will play and get lots of icetime. I'm liking his game. On the bright side, Billia gave up 7 and Booth gave up 6 last night!

Hoping for a good game tonight a lot of players missing on both sides can't wait till nhl camps are over so the season can really start for teams. It will be interesting to see how tonight plays out with bent making an return to the eastlink center. I say moose come out with the win tonight 3-1. Hoping I am wrong.

I wouldn't lump Quebec in with Chicoutimi. Quebec's top 6 could be the best in the league. Nauss scored. Hope these kids benefit from increased ice time early in the year. That's all I want out of this year. Develop some of these 16/17yos. Winning/losing on a nightly basis doesn't mean a whole lot, unless of course we want to tank. Edit: Cavan Fitzgerald just scored. Our defensive depth is off the charts.

You say that jokingly but I'm actually really impressed with this group. This is a trial by fire and they're holding up pretty well. You can start to see some of the guys play with a bit of swagger. Really nice job by the scouts to pick this group out.

Haven't seen Crossley for a while. Hopefully not injured.
