Saint John comes to town for a double header , sitting in 1st place . You have to go all the way to # 34 to find a Sea Dog in the scoring race . They have arguably the best goalie in the Q , not named Fucale . Lets see how this goes and 4 points should be the goal here .

I think we get 4 points this weekend, from what I've watched the Sea Dogs give up a lot of scoring opportunities on their young squad that our finishers will be able to handle.
I also would expect that we get one of their backups one night as Auger has played every game this season so far.
Should be a decent crowd tonight, first home game in 2 weeks or so.

As a fan of SJ I'm just hoping the boys can play 2 good games against you guys and sneak a win out in one of them. That game will likely have to be whatever game Auger starts because it looks like this is the weekend where finally one of our 2 rookie backups will get to play. Still think you guys are a legit threat to win the division, but need a goalie. Hopefully Auger stones your team this weekend and causes you to make us an offer we can't refuse for him. p.s. Hey Hal if we have the best goalie in the league not named Fucale, you guys got the best player in the league not named SPRONG .... couldn't resist.

Excited to finally see MacIntye on home ice.
Should be interesting to see if our high flying ways continue against a more conservative team. Since they're a bit younger I expect to carry the play more then we would against an older more defensive oriented team but this should be a good early test to see if we're head and shoulders above a team like Saint John.
Also hoping the Svechnikov show continues to deliver the highlights.

The herald covers this team way way WAY better then cb post. I just noticed a live blog for tonights game on the herald site. I just don't get it really. I understand the herald is a province wide paper, but cb post should be covering the eagles much better then they do.
Hoping for 4 points this weekend. Excited to watch on eastlink!

Dumont saying brassard is the answer with his experience. Sure as hell yet to show it. Few weak ones tonight. Love the play of bishop tonight.

Disgusting stuff to watch man... Can not keep this habit up. Up 4-1 and 4 unanswered goals. Disgusting.

Try and blame the young d all you want but that was a full team collapse assisted by bad goaltending. SeaDogs didn't do anything out of this world to win this game, we gave it to them IMO. Bishop was the only player who stood out to me

Hard to maintain a lead when the refs are reffing to the score of the game instead of the infractions on the ice.
1 - CAP Served By Francis Brunelle, 15:02 - Too many men on the ice, (1.85) (PP) 1 - CAP François Brassard, 16:27 - Interference of a player or a goaltender, (1.42) (PP) 1 - CAP Matthew Nosella, 17:46 - Holding, (1.45) (PP) 2 - CAP Maxim Lazarev, 1:07 - Tripping, (1.38) (PP) 2 - CAP Francis Brunelle, 3:48 - Checking from behind, (1.50) (PP) 2 - CAP Francis Brunelle, 3:48 - Slashing, (1.22) (PP) 2 - SNB Justice Dundas, 4:24 - Unsportmanlike conduct, (1.62) 2 - CAP Pierre-Luc Dubois, 4:50 - Tripping, (1.38) (PP) 2 - SNB Mitchell Dempsey, 5:54 - Roughing, (1.46) 2 - CAP Loïk Léveillé, 5:54 - Roughing, (1.46) 2 - CAP Phélix Martineau, 9:24 - Interference of a player or a goaltender, (1.42) (PP)
Played almost the entire 2nd period shorthanded and were gassed in the 3rd period where suddenly nothing was a penalty anymore.
That's all I've got for this one, hopefully play better tomorrow night.

NUMBERS,NUMBERS,NUMBERS. Not going to point the finger at anyone on this one, other than to say as previously stated, the numbers do not lie.If you consistently allow 5 or more goals a game and you consistently cough up 2 and three goal leads, your success is going to be very minimal. We are currently tied for second place in the league in goals allowed and quite simply put, this team is horrid defensively. Just a little note of interest, of you look at last years stats for goaltenders, the kid we cut loose very abruptly (Marchand) after he singlehandedly won four or five games only to have one bad one and gone, lead the team in save percentage and goals against average.Go figure, good decision, you be the judge of that.

Wow. What a horrible game that was. We are not going to win many games this year if we have to score 5,6,7 goals to come out on top. It wasn't all Brassards fault, although he has yet to play as an NHL drafted 20 year old veteran in this league should be expected to. Defensive zone coverage was awful tonight, everyone running around chasing the puck or turning it over time after time. Tons of skill as I have said before in previous posts but we have to tighten up defensively, blowing a 4-1 lead is deflating, and what was up with Dumont putting out the third line (if you could call it that considering he tends to just throw whomever on the ice with whomever else) with 2 minutes left down by a goal. Where was Svechnekov or Farrell or Pelltier, call me crazy but I think if your down by a goal late in a game you should put out the players who are most likely to score and not a third line centre and a 16 year old rookie. Drives me crazy! End rant!
