The Mooseheads (2-4-1) will be trying for their first victory in three games and are hoping to take advantage of their struggling opponents. The Foreurs (2-6-0-1) have lost seven straight, including a 4-3 shootout decision last night in Moncton.
Val d'Or has given up a league worst 40 goals so far this season, while the Moose have scored the least amount of goals with 18 to their credit.
Halifax is expected to have forward Danny Moynihan back in the lineup after he served a one game suspension on Thursday for a check from behind.
Anthony Beauregard leads Val d'Or in scoring with nine points while Timo Meier, also with nine points, tops the Herd in the scoring department.

A battle between two struggling teams trying to find their way. Both are and should be in rebuild modes. Given the Foreurs struggles defensively, maybe the Moose can take advantage of that. This would be one of the small number of times where a Mooseheads loss would be somewhat surprising/disappointing considering the competition. You don't know what team will show up.
It's obvious these two teams are a long way from the QMJHL Semi Final series they played against each other last spring.

Wouldn't mind a Bennington/Bent fight this afternoon.

Wouldn't mind a Bennington/Bent fight this afternoon. Bennington/Vuic would probably be more likely. Bent seems to goad more people into a penalty than a fight.

Bennington would be about two weight classes over his head with Vuic haha That's the class Bennington more often than not fights in. his only fight this year was with Julien Proulx who is a fair bit bigger than Vuic. His fightcard last year was full of heavyweights (By Q standards).

Well they got a point out of it. They did come back from a 2-1 deficit and took the 3-2 lead, but couldn't finish the game off. Losing to a team with fewer points than you do, played last night while your team was off and on a long losing/winless streak stings. I only heard the game so I didn't see who looked good and who didn't.
A lost opportunity to get some momentum going in the right direction.

So, how did Baie-Comeau look? Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but I guess u could translate the Semi-Finals as part of the President Cup playoffs.

This was a type of game I think we're going to see a lot this year... Very streaky play - periods where the Moose looked pretty good & controlled the play, but also times where they struggled to get possession and looked panicky. The PP in the 3'rd where they scored was great, but every other PP they pretty much seemed lost.... Fucale played better than Thursday, but didn't exactly steal anything. D. Moinahan had an excellent game.

The boys looked a lot better yesterday were working well as a team for periods and hitting people, Fucale made some unbelievable saves to hold them in the game. Nice to get a point were slowly making strides; we just have to keep working the wins will eventually come and our 49 goal scorer will be back soon. Getting a few guys back in the lineup helped, but we are still young hopefully when we get a full lineup things will get better; losses are disappointing but when your young and rebuilding you have to stick with them then too. (I hope Nik starts well next weekend, and doesn't seem disinterested like Jo did to start after getting send backlast year)
