But possible. Huberdeau was a 0.57 PPG player in his first year, then went to 1.57 PPG the following year. Drouin went from 0.88 to 2.14! Will Carrier went from 0.20 to 1.06

It’s not something anyone wants to hear,” he said. “I loved Cape Breton last year, I love all the guys here, the coaching staff and all the people around Cape Breton were really great last year. I’m happy to be back here and there’s no place I’d rather be in junior. “I’m going to work hard all year and show them I can play at that level and that I want to be there and I think that I should be there,” said the 20-year-old forward from South Boston, Mass. “I’m out to prove people wrong.”

Darcy, Farrell and Auger sounds like a pretty good batch of 20 year old players. CB and SJ look like a perfect match for a trade really, as long as they don't let that whole "in the same division" thing get in the way. If SJ is in 2nd or 3rd do they do it. I would for sure, unless the offer for Auger was an extremely low one. If SJ is serious about wanting to host the Memorial Cup in 2017 they definitely should be looking to move Auger for the biggest return they can find.

I'm just glad M-A Doggy is in charge instead of statsman18. I'd be shocked if he sold out the entire future for a run this season when he has so many players returning next season. All I'm saying is CB is now in a position where they can make a run this year to add to next year. The crazy think is you guy don't have to do it the way it's been done recently. CB has good 16yos and a good amount of top picks. With this you can basically get what you need with out giving up anyone that will be core next year. Here's what I'm saying you can do. Murphy, Fucale, and Hardie from Hal 1st 2015, 1st 2015, O'Leary , Dubois , Brassard and maybe Corbeil and Nosella so he has somewhere to play. (Corbeil is added for Hardie) If you don't like that then something like this is possible too. Murphy and Hardie from Hal 1st 2015, O'Leary, Brassard and one of either 1st 2015 or Dubois from CB and throw in Nosella so he can still play Both times I threw in Hardie because I really think that's where you guys can use a good 20. Someone who's a leader to help get your fairly young D crop going. Hardie is one of the best shut down guy in the league and bring so much leadership. I think it's a prefect fit. With this trade you can still go out and get a top Goalie somewhere else. If though you go get a different goalie such as say a Cadorette your looking at giving up a Bell or Lalonde as well. But in this case you have Cadorette and Murphy as 20s the next year. Some people don't get you have to give to get. Both Murphy and Cadorette don't have to be traded so they need to be bought. By that I mean the offer has to be to good to not pull the trigger.

The crazy think is you guy don't have to do it the way it's been done recently. Is it really that crazy? Some people don't want to see CB give away the entire future for a couple rentals just because an overage was sent back. That's the type of impatient decision making that got CB into a terrible situation for the last few years.

Murphy is worth 2 1st and a good prospect. O'Leary really isn't that good prospect as we have seen how not reporting works out for the Moose. Not better than any other team. Look at the prices last year. What good is Brassard to the Moose? O'Leary is worth a 1st to CB but if he goes back into the draft he is going lower than that. If Fucale regains form before Xmas his value is goes up, if not he is not worth it for a contender.

That's the type of impatient decision making that got CB into a terrible situation for the last few years. Who wants to see that? All the selling doesn't mean anyting if you don't buy when the time is right. That's not trading away the entire future, it's calling it like it is. You either decide you're winning with the core of the last 2 drafts and trade everyone away or you build for now and next year behind the core of the 2 Euro's, Bishop, MacIntyre, Deschamps, Pelletier, Leveille, Simard. You can have it both ways and keep the current core with no additions and develop everyone but you're essentially wasting a legit shot at a championship now in order to hope you have the high end talent to do it in 16-17 or 17-18. That seems like an awful waste of all that talent I listed. There's absolutely no reason to buy big with the talent already here combined with the assets that are available. Acquiring veterans is not what put the team in it's awful state. It was having no logical plan that made sense. The plan you're seeing now comes after 2 years of building a getting a whole lot of luck. People are already saying it may be the best top 6 we've ever had, that alone tells you it's time to reward the fans with a team that can contend.

If they want any decent value for those players it has to come now. Both teams will have tons of reason to try and cash in now, it's 17 and 18yo's that you need to really overpay for.

He's a good not great D, who is prone to some really boneheaded moves in his own end and doesn't have the elite offensive game to overshadow that.

But what would Chicoutimi or Drummondville's be worth as they currently are at 5th and 6th overall picks?

Well that is your opinion and I expect mine is different from GMs as well. To note on the 2nd round pick its a 2017(Quebec no choice) so its likely a place holder which could be back for a player almost as good as Graves. Graves also did not play any games yet, preseason as well!, so injury could be a factor.

For sure a team wants the higher pick but Chicoutimi should move up when things are settled too. That's the risk at Xmas for picks since its an unknown factor what credit gets you later. Many teams just want the pick to flip later.
