Mason Gray? If we're short bench where is he? Suspended this the last game of it.

Did not expect to go pointless on this road trip...
Hopefully the boys can get back to C200 and get some practices under their belt and work toward some positives.

Awful trip to say the least, not sure what to make of the team.
You look at the roster and realistically its probably only 2nd to Rimouski and at worst, tied with Quebec in terms of skill.
Could be coaching, could be the boys having no chemistry, not really sure.
I'm not really worried yet but I expected a better record than last years team.

All valid concerns but all could / should be worked out . Talent is there , chemistry can still be tweaked and it is not a really outrageous statement to say that Dumont could be an above average GM and only perhaps an average Head Coach , * I think we have some experience travelling down this road before .

I heard Mason Gray has gone home to finish his education. Too bad. I thought he was a good fit as a 4th liner. I know they called someone up but haven't heard who???

Unfortunate if this is true, although he didn't see much ice time, I thought he showed some good skills.Presents another opportunity for another one of the kids I suppose.

A few minutes ago, Willy Palov tweeted that Mason Gray has retired from hockey.

I don't know why Gray was treated like royalty. Didn't come to camp for personal reasons, was a fourth line player at best, some better than him got cut now he "retires".

Perhaps his personal reasons led to this. I can't comment on his character without being in his shoes. I could see from his game on the ice why they waited though as he was a very useful 4th liner for us and would have been down the stretch as well. Good thing is he came cheap. Nobody treated him like royalty. Many just realized he's 19 and could have been dealing with a serious situation so who are we to judge.

But I think there are guys who were attended training camp that were better all around players compared to Gray. He decides to show up, whatever his reasoning is for not coming to camp that is unknown, but he shows up then a few games in he retires. I just don't get it I guess. Best wishes in whatever he is doing down the road. I liked to watch him on the fourth line as well, don't get me wrong, I just think we'd be better served by someone else.

Need to replace Gray as our forward numbers are down. We only have 11 and that includes Dillon Boucher who is out indefinitely. We could easily add two or three at this point, usually teams carry 13 or 14 forwards. See what happens. Any thoughts on callups?
