The Mooseheads get back at it after their 4-3 shootout loss to Val D'Or on Sunday afternoon, and try to get headed into the right direction. Nik Ehlers was returned to the team by the NHL Winnipeg Jets and should be making his Mooseheads debut tonight.

There's no question Elhers changes everything in this game. Halifax has had problems finding the score sheet the past few games. They should have way more scoring chances tonight. I'm very interested in seeing who he plays with. My guess is they put him with Moynihan and Gadoury will be his line mates. Fortier, Falkinham and Meier have been together all year and look alright together.
Halifax's big problem is the backend. This is just my view but there are only 3 guys currently playing that I'm fine with on the back end. Two of them don't have to be named. The other is Ford. He has played a pretty solid all round game so far. Nauss doesn't look bad but his size has been taken advantage of so far. Josh Fitzgerald needs to realize he's not playing in Newfoundland miget league any more. I see some good in his style and play, but he just hasn't caught on to the speed of the game here. Taillefer seems to be this years Jacques, (just shouldn't be here).
I will say PEI will win. I'm guessing 6-4

we've scored only 32 goals all year..... i cannot see us getting 6 on Fucale especially considering we are averaging only about 26 shots on net per game.... he'd have to have an awful night for us to get that many
oh yeah and our special teams suck... we might win but if we do it'll likely be 4-2 4-3 3-2 type score

Everyone is scoring goals on us right now. You guys will likely be fired up, having lost your last game badly and having lost to us already this year. I hope Ehlers's return will net us a couple more goals and allow us to spend more time on attack though. There could be lots of goals in this one.

He'll be better once the loaded team is in front of him ... oh wait ...

I think Ehlers will be flying out there tonight and will be the difference, but the Moose will still give up a lot of goals. Mooseheads 6-4

They just can't play well in there own zone. Fucales last game played was his best games so far. The game itself was mostly played in Halifax's zone and thats why they lost. I will almost put money PEI will get at lest 30 shots tonight.

Hopefully Ehlers plays a "200-foot game" because they need more than goals.

This is the first game of a 3 in- 3 weekend for us. Could be a rough one...
Host the Isles then head to Saint John and then Bathurst.

Moose playing pretty well overall. Not the prettiest hockey but at least we seem more organized. That knee on Ehlers was one of the worst you will see IMO as far as intentionally sticking your knee at a guy, but Ehlers isn't hurt so it will probably just fade away quietly.

Good to get back into the win column. Looks like things got a little hairy at the end, but the Mooseheads hold on. Hopefully this win sends them into a positive direction in terms of building something.

Best effort of the season. Fucale is rounding into form he was solid. I know SteveUL thinks he is crap but I think most of his opinions on Moose Players are crap so I guess we agree to disagree. Somehow Zach is thought highly off and drafted and on Team Canada and Dubeau is trying to figure out what university he is going to play for next year. I know who I would rather have playing for my team.
Ehlers gives us two good scoring lines and I liked the third line tonight as they banged and worked hard. I think Ehlers was trying a little to hard to make things happen. He will get it going soon.
Dee even seemed a little better but still a touch careless in getting the puck out of our end. But tonight Zach bailed them out.
Loved that Murphy and Conner went right after that little shit who tried to take out Ehlers knee. I truly hate the instigator penalty. He deserved to get the shit kicked out of him. Standing up for a dirty hit and Murphy is gone for 17 minutes.
Meier has really made strides this year. Fortier had maybe his best game as he was involved and dangerous all night. I think Meier hit 2 posts and Falkingham missed a few great setups. That line could have scored a bunch tonight.
Last year in the playoffs Sprong was unbelievable. I think tonight he got benched (or maybe has playing hurt). All he did was float tonight and did not compete at all. A late powerplay and for most of the time the goalie was pulled he was not on the ice.
A fun night at the rink.
