Unfortunate situation for Vuic. Made a bad decision, luckily he's ok and didn't hurt anyone. Serious matter. Hopefully it was just a bad night, where he made a mistake, and not a bigger issue for him. Glad to hear the team is sticking by him, and making sure he gets the help needed. who said that? this is enough to cut ties with him. Chronicle Herald: ".... but at the same time he’s part of our family and we’re going to help him out in any way we can. We’re doing everything we can to make sure that he gets the proper help he needs.” I guess come the end of it all, they may decide to release him. Cam does say they haven't decided on how far they will go, in terms of discipline. But for now, sounds like they're going to stick with him and helping him. Doubt you'll see him play for a while (if he stays).

As I tweeted yesterday, the team is standing by him and I personally think the Halifax fan base should as well; fortunately no one was hurt and the kid made a mistake. 1) No one gives a shit what you tweeted. 2) Who are you to tell anyone what their opinions should be? 3) Made a mistake? Glad you can brush it off as a mistake because you obsess about the team in an unhealthy way, but drinking and driving is a lot more serious than you make it sound. If people would stop thinking like you are here, we'd have a lot less people doing it, and a lot less innocent victims. Personally, I hope his bags are packed and he's on a plane back to Ontario as soon as possible. Sorry to disappoint you.

I heard that too before it hit papers, but I dismissed it as far fetched. Getting messy now.

Seems odd they would say that, given he was "allegedly" seen, and doesn't sound like the police investigated that at all really. If true... I hope he gets the help he needs and isn't vilified in media/forums for what is a serious issue that is likely a result of some pretty bad influences in his life.

Maybe they are still talking to witnesses.

On one hand, I agree that his bags should be packed but not with nothing but a see you later. He needs to be lead in the right direction. He can't just be sent home. He needs to be lead somewhere for help. If you just kick him to the curb then his problems are just going to keep on piling up.

I'm not going to vilify him, but there's no excuse for getting in a car while impaired. I don't care what the reason- there's just no justification for it. I refuse to label it as a "mistake". Doesn't sound like he would be a positive influence on the rest of the team- more like a distraction, and should probably be released.

True, I'm not making excuses for what he did - just saying he is clearly in need of some help/guidance and hopefully the team can help him with that.

Wow, this is getting messy fast.
Pretty cold and impassionate if they just told him to pack his bags and get out of town. Whether it's a one off incident or he's a full blown addict and drunk, he needs help. I'd say his days are over playing for the team, but the team should still help him.
Injuries, losing games, now this......tough start to the season for the Moose.

A hockey player doing coke! Shocking!
Anyway, I doubt the people calling for him to be released would call for this if it were a 1st liner. I don't think he should be released, he deserves a second chance, but yeah it is bad. Give him a few weeks off and let him come back!
Back to the issue at hand, the Halifax Herald needing other outlets to report it before they decide to report!

...well then take it and keep it to yourself rather than showing off you know billets on the internet. C'mon man or kid I should say. I don't really care about forum rules, but I agree with you, it shouldn't have been posted.
