Could Brassard be on the way out? Patrick McNeil ?@cbse_pbp 2m2 minutes ago 18 year old FA goalie Forbes Ploszaj is in CB. On protected list but can't play, not signed to card. From Arizona, played USHL last year www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=267304

*played NAHL last year.
He was one of the top U18 goalies in NAHL. Unfortunately for him the USHL team he went to has an established 20 & another one of the top U18 goalies from NAHL last season. I remember that name from Kelowna Rocket camp, I guess they didn't put him on their protected list.

We need a goalie who can carry the ball for 2 playoff runs and don't even have 1 from most fans perspectives as Brassard has disappointed. Cutting our losses with him and using the 20 spot on a skater who can have an impact on the game while finding a younger goaltender has likely been in the works since Darcy's return. Even if this guy is an upgrade on Sullivan he's worth a look. It will be interesting to follow the progress of this development.

Here's the scoop. Heard moments ago at the game from an extremely reliable source that Hache will be back this weekend, Forbes is here in the rink watching and Brassard will be moved. Interesting, instant defensive improvement with Hache's return and Brassard has fell way short so far this year.

Figured we'd know one way or the other by the end of the month. His return is pretty much exactly what the doctor ordered in terms of filling our defensive needs. IF IF IF this is true(can't say IF enough lol) then we can't ask for a better outcome at the end of all of the 20yr old shuffling. Still will believe it when it's official though. Rumors love to run wild at Eagle games, some have come true, others not so much.

it is interesting because it's true. Sorry but a post on qmjhleast is not exactly a confirmed transaction lol but I hope it's true and like Bauer, I'll believe it when I see it. What would be interesting is it would address something people were giving away picks & prospects for a week ago and force people to re-evaluate the goaltending situation over the next couple months as this guys a complete unknown

He is not on our protection list. He has until Sunday to sign a player card, Gormley has been sent back to Portland so it seems like a backup plan. I hear yes or no on Monday for Hache

I don't think this kid would come to Cape Breton, watch a game then turn around and go back to the NAHL. Although stranger things have happened.

If you look on The Portland Pirates website Hache is no longer listed there. He was last night but now he is not, I think that combined with the inside info I recieved is , at least to me, is pretty assuring. Big win tonight. Way to go Eagles.

From what I remember, he comes from a pretty wealthy family so I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I believe the rules are as long as they don't accept anything from CB aka they pay for the travel themselves, the player keeps his NCAA eligibility.

Didn't you say above he was at the Kelowna Rocket camp and was not protected? Wouldn't that mean he waved his eligibility already for NCAA if he stay over whatever time period that is.
