What I suggested is CB has the assets to make a trade with out a 3rd team. But if the team they trade with still wants that 19yo they can flip it themselves. For example: CB want player A. Team A wants a pick and a 19yo player. CB doesn't have Such player. So CB goes how about we give you 2 picks and a 16yo none roster player. Team A agrees. Done deal. But team A then thinks we still need that 19yo player and calls Team B and gives the 16yo and 1 of the picks for the 19yo. Nothing to do with CB at all team A makes a different trade with what was CB's assets but now is there own to what they want with them. Or they can just keep it altogether and not bother with the 19yo. LOL Same thing. If you think a team set for 20s when approached by CB for a Goalie is going take Brassard at Xmas for their starter, with a deadline, while wanting a 19yr old goalie upgrade to contend, then say oh lets start to look for another goalie LOL. I dont know what to tell you, they are going to get screwed in trade. Why you keep ignoring my post talking about goalies is beyond me. I think you miss understand fully everything I have said. Plus I don't know why you think teams only want players at Christmas. They take the best offer. Goalie wise I do think they need an upgrade. And I suggested Phaneuf as a player to target. I said he is a backup, meaning he is a back up for the team he's on. Chicoutimi has a 18yo starter. Phaneuf is considered that teams back up. He can be a starter and will be back next year if he was an Eagle. I don't think that would be the case if he was a sag still next year. As for over paying I'm saying they can. They have the ability to get what they want because they can over pay if they want to. Sometimes there's a player that a team just has to have. Look at Halifax and Brad. Do I think or see Dumont doing something that dumb, No. I'd also like to point out that I'm not saying you trade brassard to Chicoutimi in that trade. You can keep him and trade him to another team. Say Halifax trades fucale and maybe Hardie somewhere maybe Halifax takes for Brassard to help Resop.

I think the Sags are incredibly overrated... and in the toughest division in the league this year.... Cape Breton could blow them away with an offer for Billia if the Sags were willing to listen
Storm Phaneuf is no better an option than the goalies the Eagles fans have been discussing here.... he's an okay backup but he is not a starter on a contender in my opinion

Chicoutimi has lots of 19yr olds for a run this year, Phaneuf is not a good goalie. He is a backup to a 18 that has potential. CB would be better off with the 18yr old. Its early but there has been talk by people close to Chicoutimi that they are not totally confident in him and could trade for a Fucale type goalie at Xmas. They could use a Euro upgrade as well.

You added since I started my last reply so: Parts from a CB, Sags, Halifax with goalies could work. As I said its early so I was avoiding any scenario reason for/against Halifax trading in a CB thread. Edit: I hate when people take parts of posts and leave out what the true statement was, it relevant.
