I'm happy Bell was moved. He reminded me too much of Matt Murphy - all the skill in the world; no clue how to best utilize it. If Bell can clean up his own zone you may not be as "Happy" he was moved ... If Bell is willing to bring the effort to practice and work hard to improve his D zone coverage he could be a great addition for Saint John. Coaching can fix Bell's on ice concerns it's up to Bell to fix having the right attitude when he gets to the rink.

I'm just happy the Eagles have LeBlanc on the blueline for their "go for it" year. He could very well be the best defenceman in the QMJHL next season.

I shudder when I think of what we gave up to move up in the draft to get Jason Bell when we could have had Daniel Sprong instead.Yikes. From what I heard about Bell from Day 1 when he arrived about his arrogance and laziness and bad attitude, looks like someone didn't do their homework on this kid.Bell has lots of talent but not much going for him in terms of attitude and work ethic, not a recipe for success. Dumont and his scouting staff were very high on Bell. He has a high ceiling but as we can all see he did not work out here. His offensive ability is there so if SJ can hone in on making is defensive game at least okay I think he can prove effective given second pairing to third pairing minutes in SJ plus 2nd unit PP time.

Martineau's brother Vincent is supposed to go somewhere in the 2nd round of the draft this year. He has 4 assists in 3 game so far at the combine and is already 6' 200lbs.

We know Dumont loves the family connections... but I have no clue which picks we will be keeping and is it worth it to a drop 4th or 6th overall on him? I'm pretty excited to see which moves we make at the draft, I feel like most of our moves for the season will be done there instead of Christmas to avoid another first half of last year.

If Joseph Veleno is granted exceptional status that'd be great news for CB even if they want to trade the #4 pick because it will be one of Bowers, Comtois, and Morand all of which are very good prospects and to make matters even better for CB they could possibly get either Derick Baribeau (G) or Joel Teasdale (F) at #6 ... Or trade that pick too. Going to be a very interesting draft this year for the Eagles!

Martineau is a right handed shooting Dman with good size. Replacement for Lalonde if the rumour is true on him being traded?

Would probably be a good pick at 19 if we put O'Leary back in the draft, he is rated early 2nd round. After next year, our defense starts to get old.

Every CHL team likes family connections. Much easier to integrate players into a group if they have a familiar face to enter with or help them get adjusted.

I bet they pick O'Leary in a later round I doubt that. I don't even know if its allowed.

I doubt that. I don't even know if its allowed. He is in the draft of course its allowed. Halifax didn't re-select Echiel. I don't know if it's because they knew 100% he wasn't coming or there is a special rule tied to returning players to the draft for compensation.
