Rumble is really sending a message tonight with Tkachev being a scratch. Wonder if it will pay dividends...
Edit: Just noticed him in the lineup.

He played in the 1st period and must have gotten hurt. Wasn't even on the bench for the 2nd or 3rd.
Cats played pretty well tonight I thought. Nice rebound from Saturday's ugly effort. Great to see Johnson step up with some key guys missing. He's quietly having a good start to the season.

They should use him as #2 center, at least he puts in the effort, unlike somebody who shall remain nameless.

You guys looked real good ... powerplay especially I think we are really good ... when we put our mind to it. But slow starts and lack of effort from key players has lead to terrble inconsistency.

You guys looked real good ... powerplay especially I think we are really good ... when we put our mind to it. But slow starts and lack of effort from key players has lead to terrble inconsistency. The problem I see with the team so far is that it's being carried by a very small group of players(6-8) and if those guys have an off night the team is going to lose. There is not much being carried by the #7 to 14 forwards and #3-7 d-men and #2 goalie...either Dubeau-Tkachev-Barbashev-Johnson-Lalonde-Garland-Sweeney get it done or the team loses. Basically the team is about where it's roster puts it, mid pack.
