Out due to injury: Bishop, Svechnikov, Brunelle Out due to suspension: Dubois (3 games left)
Probably face Marchand tonight.
If we can manage to string these 2 wins together it will go a long way to building some confidence, it'll be tough though with lots of missing bodies up front.

Jeesh CB is missing more players than I realized.

The headline in today's Post could have read; MARCHAND CHASES Eagles away in the 3rd period?

Marchand has a better season than Brassard. I don`t undertand why Dumont put him on waiver at this time he was only 18 years old . very bad decision he paid a 3rd+5th round2014 for Brassard and 2nd and 3rd 2015 for Sullivan....wow....2nd 2015 + 3 rd 204 +5th 2014 + 3 rd 2015 + Marchand on waiver for Brassard ( 1994) and Sullivan ( 1995 )

Fully agree, terrible decision. Like what Dumont is doing with the exception of his handling of the goaltenders. there has been a carousel of goaltenders here since his arrival and the best of them (Marchand) was thrown under the bus? Seems like goaltending (and coaching) is Dumont's Achilles heel. We are in a mess here, heading toward the bottom of the standings.Very disappointing season considering what many were expecting.

Volts 12 shots and 3 goals on Brassard so far, lol.
Including 2 in the final 30 seconds on the 1st period, he sucks the life out of the team.

Dumont basically said that they don't know which way they are gonna go yet .... buy or sell ! There are no deals in place right now . Seemed to kinda blame the injuries for their troubles and why they are not where they thought they would be . Did say that Brassard must get better , Sullivan also . There are no Untouchables and if he did put Dubois out there .........he would bring back a very good player ( duh ) . Stated that the Defence has improved dramatically lately . Time will tell .

Yet another loss. What a joke this year is becoming. There is absolutely no excuses left for this horribly under achieving team. This team on paper compared to the team on the ice is completely different. Someone within this organization knows what the issue or issues are. Stop making excuses and thinking this team will turn it around. Grow a set of balls and make the necessary moves to improve now or we won't even make the playoffs which is pretty sad considering only the bottom two are left out. We are way better than that. Frustrated, disappointed , angry, etc. There are not enough words to describe how this year has gone.

I don't like seeing the Eagles lose and I wasn't expecting this kind of season so far but... these comments give me warm feelings based on the thrashing I took on here for suggesting 'going for it' wasn't a forgone conclusion and the time between getting Darcy back & the trade window would influence what would happen during the window. He's in that weird position where it would be very easy to make a panic move to save his job. Hopefully the higher ups showed enough confidence in him to avoid that but who the hell knows what they're saying.

Hopefully the higher ups showed enough confidence in him to avoid that but who the hell knows what they're saying. The fact that they're so bad and are even considering not selling speaks volumes. I think there's always been an open dialogue with a lot of teams due to the assets we can play with in deals that would be both buying and selling. I really think it's tough to sell when there's nothing to really cash out on. Darcy has some value, but how much I wonder? 1 goal in 16 games isn't just a slump. It's scary to think we may become a Bathurst and start moving high end players for high end players in hopes of finding chemistry with a new group as that rarely goes well. In my opinion there's only maybe 6 regulars who have not disappointed to some stretch so far. That's simply not good enough. And despite the high end talent there's just been no sign of a contender despite the large amounts of individual talent. Do we start thinking outside the box and see what our Euro duo can command in a deal? When you really examine that situation it might not even be a horrible idea considering the way Euro picks are handled now.

You're limited to what can be done in the middle of the trade periods like this especially when there's injuries. The problem now is that the decisions that need to be made which may turn this around won't be considered due to money. We're stuck with the coaches and 20's with only a chance the players will be swapped as a coaching change feels impossible which makes you wonder what the point of some of the moves has been when you see how bad some of the new players especially have played.

Reading this statement back in Sept. would have caused me to spit out my coffee. At this point tho it's a very plausible idea. Although both have been having an alright season so far. Evengy has been on the first page of the scoring list as a rookie all season ( Well since I last checked ) and Lazarev has been putting some points up lately. What kind of return do you think we could expect when you put that duo on the market? Ugh it's so frustrating how things have ended up here thus far. This town deserves a winning franchise.

I don't like the idea of moving the Russians at all. Not only are they playing well but Svechnikov brings a certain credibility to CB that hasn't been seen before and moving him would be very tough to explain.
His name & probably 1st round draft status will be brought up to every European CB tries to recruit & every top end Quebecer who doesn't want to report. I don't think I can name a European that was ever drafted out of CB let alone a 1st rounder.
Unless you consider trading Darcy to a contender as 'selling', I don't think there is much selling to do. The only 19 year old is Nosella and teams won't be banging down the door for him as a rental. You'd have to pay for someone to take Brassard and Kyle Farrell isn't going anywhere. The rest of the roster is so young that any trade would be proven asset for proven asset which isn't exactly selling.
I think a lot of people will be disappointed with the lack of big movement during the trade window. CB is in such a weird position and the moves they NEED to make are more suited for the offseason.
