The First Place Armada come to town after suffering a loss in Saint John . They will be looking to right that little blip on the radar . Our Boys need to play 60 minutes and we will see what happens . Talk of late seems to be focused on the X-Mas Trade Period and what Dumont may or may not do but there is lots of Hockey to be played before then . Rumours should be flying around C200 this afternoon .

Probably lots of rumours is right. Hoping they play better than they did in Moncton, they allowed three goals on three PKs in the first period, mostly on undisciplined penalty. Hoping that Pelletier and Darcy come out of their funk.

The Armada are a hard working team and they are very aggressive on the puck. Their veterans - Martel, Walcott, Jevpalovs, Arnasson and Sanche - lead the way. They made it very difficult for the Sea Dogs' offensive players to move the puck.
This should be a good gauge to see where the Screaming Eagles stand leading up to the trade period.

Eagles are coming off a game where they showed some heart in coming back from being down 4-1. I would say Brassard will get the call in goal tonight. Need a big game from him. Hoping Darcy and Pelts get scoring. Going with Eagles 4-3.

The Armada are a good example of a team that put it together, they started off 2-8 and turned it around and are now leading their division.
We've picked up 3/4 points in the last 2 games, we need to start winning consistently so I hope the boys come out today and realize that.

Dubois is the real deal. Someone else said he was the best since Sheppard and I have to agree

Dubois is the real deal. Someone else said he was the best since Sheppard and I have to agree For what it's worth, Sheppard holds the CB record with 45 points as a 16 year old. Dubois is a long way from that yet but his current pace has him in the 40-45 range. Something to keep an eye out for if you're into those franchise record things.

Just going to say this now, Brassard was may at fault for 2 of the goals. The defence did not cover at all

Just going to say this now, Brassard was may at fault for 2 of the goals. The defence did not cover at all It doesn't help that he commits so hard to the shooter every time, they just slide it over and hes miles out of position. Any way you slice it, he allowed 5 goals on 17 shots... What a pathetic performance by the Eagles today, up 3-1 and then they start playing like absolute idiots, they get the puck in the offensive zone, then try some random drop pass and it floats back down to Brassard. Did they completely forget how they scored their first 3 goals? Just getting the puck on the net, they always try to make the perfect play. Joke of a game.

Darcy pissed off big time after the game . Witnessed him firing his helmet , gloves and stick against the wall moments before the Eagles PR Guy told him he was the 2nd star and he had to do the t-shirt toss . Frustration or Unhappiness....or both .

Well he gave the puck away and it was the last goal for Armada not that it would have made a difference but a guy like Darcy should not do that just saying.

Sum it up very quickly, blow a 3-1 lead, allow 5 goals on 17 shots and give up 4 power play goals against, recipe for success? NOT. This team is a mess in all facets of the game. Something has to give here.

I was very hopeful after the first period. We had a 3-1 lead and the boys played well in the first period. Then the game became what we have become accustom to here. Blown lead and terrible defensive play. Can't blame Brassard for last night, he played pretty well but when we run around and get lost in our end chances are gonna come for the other team. We have to find a way to put in the same effort for a full 60min. On a side not I thought Duncan MacIntyre had another terrible game last night. He has been very, very dissapointing thus far. He's a big solid boy but he seems terrified to throw his weight around. He reminds me of Leduc when he was here. Just wavering his stick at guys as they blow by him. Hit someone Duncan, come on! Maybe Dillon Boucher should take him aside and teach him how to throw a body check.

hard to imagine if rumours are true that the 16th and 17th place teams in the league as of Dec 1 might both be buyers at the trade period lol
