There has to be more than that. He was their extra 20 YO. Making room for Ehlers?

What is Burke like? He's only a .43 ppg stat but they used to say he was a great two way player when Quebec traded for him. Has his performance fallen off this year?

I'm saying the Lalonde trade is a downpayment on Dylan Labbé and the Tkachev trade is to replace Lalonde as a 20 and make room for Ehlers or Zykov.

We're only seeing part of the Tkachev trade though.

were selling.... I think it makes the most sense..... Quebec at the draft will probably flip us back picks or players as I'm sure this trade is riddled with performance based targets.

I'm just wondering what was the rush for these 2 trades.

20 year olds can be moved at anytime along with Russians. Lalonde deal I think makes sense... tackchev didn't want to be here anymore...... quebec was a perfect place to get good return for him.... I would be surprised to see Barbachev head out as well for a kings ransom.....

Leroux is saying for future(s?) I think. My French is weak Leroux Tweet: Donc rappel Tkachev à Québec-Burke à Moncton-Lalonde à Shawinigan et des considérations futures à confirmer dans le temps des fêtes #LHJMQ Seems like he is saying that the futures will be made at Christmas time. Must be roster players. Maybe a young forward from Shaw (they have a ton of them) and no idea about Quebec (maybe Sutton?) but there must be more than just Burke and some late picks, they had to get rid of Burke anyway.

Very strange timing... Tkachev was maybe poison in the room at this point if he truly wasn't happy, so I guess that makes sense. Is he the guy Quebec is going with the rest of the way though?
Can't imagine Moncton would sell being right in the division hunt and IMO was on its way to passing an overachieving SJ team. Unless they see some of the same issues they had 2 years ago cropping up - too many holes to fill, not enough to trade? It would be a bold move to become sellers at this point though, but it wouldn't be outrageous to do so either. You would have to think that if Moncton were sellers though, Quebec would have spent to get Barbeshev in such a big year.
